Gene represented my case for nearly 2 years with 2 court appearances, one being a Terminating of Parental rights case and the other an adoption. After a lot of frustration dealing with the opposing party and working with 2 previous lawyers before finding Mr. Sollows, we finally got what we wanted for our sweet child, an adoption! 2024 UPDATE!
I simply cannot recommend Gene highly enough!! In the four years since my divorce was final, my ex-wife pursued a non-stop campaign of parental alienation with our children. Thanks in no small part to Gene, this past spring Tarrant County Family Court found that my ex had indeed made false allegations of abuse against me to our children and awarded me with primary possession! If you're looking for a family attorney who will fight for you with ethics, integrity, tenacity, and at a reasonable price point, Gene is your man!

Gene is the real deal. Budget-minded, professional, approachable, and time-conscious. I'm grateful that Jerry Cosby of Texas Mediation Group recommended Gene to me after I had already interviewed three other attorneys for my divorce. Gene is an empathetic coach who will help you achieve your best, realistic outcome, which for me especially meant ensuring that my children would end up in a safe and stable home environment.

Gene could have goaded me into a very expensive, emotionally devastating custody trial. Instead, he helped me reach a mediated settlement which I initially thought impossible. Gene is tough, fair-minded and big-picture focused. Be sure to follow his advice and execute his coaching. Trust me, you won't regret it.

I retained Mr. Sollows with the intent of them taking my case seriously as well as handling my case with care. Upon retaining Mr. Sollows my needs were clear and very transparent. Mr. Sollows and his team changed the original plan we had that we discussed several times without my permission , In addition I was charged for services that were beyond the needs of my case with no direction or reason being given . He passed my case to another lawyer who was at the firm who lacked knowledge of my case and I was billed for negligence of both the Sollows firm and apposing counsel. When I reached out several times I was blown off and my concerns were not met. All of my legal matters were not addressed and the money spent was not benefiting of my case. They closed my case with no forwarding of any information and advised if I needed additional assistance I would need to contact the attorneys general . After paying 10k in fees I was served with a bill so to communication between the attorneys which was beyond what was told to me as a cost to cover my legal matters. I can suggest if you’re case is as important to you as mine is please avoid this law firm. Mr. Sollows is very arrogant and his only concerns include his advancement not your case or doing what’s ethically right for the consumer.

Gene represented my case for nearly 2 years with 3 court appearances, 1 mediation and allot of frustration dealing with an opposing counsels non-communitive Dallas attorney. He shined in our full day trial and out-lawyered the other with massive back up objective facts with articulated valid questions that kept our focus of concern on point. His paralegal Tamara and his team were an instrument to the success. He is a father and husband and understands the matters and cares for his clients. I would recommend on responding sooner overall to clients, the waiting is awful & should be checked in weekly, with "working on case still" or something in nature to clients or explained earlier on. I do believe he was overworked through the 2 years so some inconsistencies in preparation. The most important though was trial; where it mattered the most and completely shined in his "zone". Overall, I am very happy with outcome. I recommend him and his staff.

Wow! what a case I had. Many many thanks to Gene and his team for helping me out on my case. I had some doubt initially but Gene cleared it. We had to prepare everything from home and the outcome was excellent. Gene is very kind and polite. I never felt like I would loose my case.
