I called to obtain information regarding a marriage license, and how to find a jp to perform the ceremony. The woman who answered the phone continued to cut me off throughout the conversation (if you can call it that, as she talked over me the entire time), and was incredibly condescending. I have never been treated so rudely by a public official, and that's including the DMV.
