The last two years have been the hardest years of my life when my twin brother was killed innocently on his motorcycle in a motor vehicle accident. VWS was a huge support for me as I navigated something I never would wish on anyone. Harley, specifically, has been extremely helpful and kind during the entire process. My brother's case took 8+ months because the person who caused the accident wouldn't accept the guilty plea until recently. Harley kept me informed every step of the way, would answer all of my questions, and if he didn't know he would find out and get back to me. He also coordinated several calls with the prosecutor and myself so I felt involved in the process. Loosing an amazing and dearly loved person like my brother Anthony is extremely hard, but I know it would have been even more difficult if I didn't have VWS by my side. Thank you to my brother's good friend Brooke Elizabeth for referring me and for Harley and the VSW team for all your help and guidance. Much love, Megan

These people are LIFESAVERS!!! They helped me go from being homeless, suicidal and penniless living in my car after fleeing abuse in Phoenix, to being safe, employed, happy, and living in my own apartment in Flagstaff. I could not have done it without them. They went above and beyond helping me move my belongings once my vehicle died, and also took me to put my dog down when she suddenly started having seizures, and paid for it also. During the 1 to 2 months I was under their care, they also put me up at a Motel and gave me a 30 day bus pass. I cannot thank them enough I am in tears as I write this because they all have hearts of gold and I truly believe I would not even be alive today if it wasn't for the kindness, compassion and help they provided me. They made me feel safe and gave me strength to go on. They are my Angels! Thank you so much!

Can't say enough about how grateful I am for this service! I am going through the hardest 2 years of my life after being a victim of crime. Having an advocate has made a world of difference in feeling heard and having any kind of support through this. The whole team there does all they can to help you navigate the system when you may be feeling too beat down to do it alone. I thank God this program and the people that work here that dedicate their lives to helping victims get the answers, resources and support that's available to them through. The system is far from perfect, and social workers are short staffed, overworked and underpaid. Life isn't always fair and nothing is guaranteed. What I do know is that these advocates work hard to stand up for you and do their best. MUCH LOVE AND APPRECIATION TO YOU ALL!

I was the victim of an Aggravated Assault with court hearings that spanned over nine months. Harley was there with me every step of the way communicating with the County Prosecuter on my behalf and showing up to hearings to be by my side. I cannot say enough about him, or the service this program provides. Thank you!

My wife was a victim of assault by a male stalker. Her advocate, Harley, has been wonderful. The process has gone well due to his hard work. Thank you so much!

I’m leaving a review for Rachel and the Supervisor of victim witness. Absolutely atrocious service. I have two children ages 1 and ages 5 months. Rachel is absolutely disconnected from her community. She believes that by providing sticky notes to an abused , overwhelmed mom to call shelters around town is appropriate…. Honey, how did you get paid? She would ask me if needed help and if I needed anything and when I said I needed help to just watching my one year so I could fill out a form for a protection order she refused and often ran out of the room to avoid any form of responsibility for her job. She lacks common sense. My 5 month son fell of the couch and hit his head because Rachel didn’t want to play with a stuffed animal with my daughter, and I had my hands full.

The supervisor then stepped into a situation when my abusive Ex came to pick up the kids (due to no shelter for them) and was giving me extreme attitude and stirring the pot of abuse and toxicity’s by trying to understand a situation with my abuser. (He told the supervisor I stole my own EBT/WIC card from him) and the supervisor was giving me dirty look, attitude. That I had to tell him to remove himself from the situation because it was about to escalate!!! Like come on guys. Doing the absolute bare minimum for abused victims on top of just being snarky and stingy when it comes to resources for emergency shelter. Sorry it’s hard to believe some people don’t have ANY family. I really hope the good hearted people leave that organization and go find one where their abilities will be utilized for good. These people lack a lot of empathy, patience and often hold on to hurts and personal beliefs that have nothing to do with abused victims lives.

Maya C., Grand Canyon Advocate, is the most amazing person!! Not only did she help get me back to California after being abandoned by a deeply troubled family member, she took me to the best sights at the Grand Canyon and made a nightmare into one of the best days of my life. Thank you so much, Maya, I'll never forget you! ❤

Terrible place, a non-profit entity that exploits grant funding to employ a certain sect. If you don't agree with their politics they react emotionally and maintain a strict bias when it comes to the judicial process that should not be fueled with such unproductivity, funds could be used elsewhere.
