My parents created their trust with Vanguard several years ago. My father recently passed away and when my mother contacted them to find out how much it would be to amend the trust, she was quoted an outrageous price. I'm sure they will respond that they provide a litany of services in conjunction with the trust amendment but when I reviewed those services, most were either already completed by our funeral home or so simple that we can complete them in just a few minutes. Nothing would justify the inflated price we were quoted. I reached out to three other firms and the price Vanguard quoted to amend and provide services was more than triple that of creating a brand-new trust from scratch! Triple. Let's hope that they are simply overcharging for these services and not actively trying to take advantage of a senior citizen. Either way, we are not going to work with Vanguard again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else.

Vanguard handle my estate planning and they were extremely helpful, very through and explain all the process and all my options for my estate planning. They made it very easy to move thru from start to finish and the attorney was easy to work with; I never needed to leave my home for a visit. It all was via phone or zoom & email with the attorney. I attended a Vanguard living trust/will seminar at a motel in Daly City. Ready with pen & notepad, the knowledge gained was an eye opener. Signed myself up & my elderly mother who had a trust in place by another attorney, mom was not in attendance but wanted to modify her existing trust. Vanguard is very professional, guided us through every step of the way, answered all questions sometimes more than once. What a relief to have your life's end written in stone, probate can last for years & can get extremely messy as well as costly. We all have two things in life we have too do; pay taxes & die, why would anyone want to put your family, loved one's or partner through probate? You worked hard for your estate give yourself the piece of mind & have a living trust/will in place. Once you do this with Vanguard they will contact you of any laws that change in the future. You want a trustworthy legal firm that's honest it's Vanguard Legal Group. Give yourself the security & piece of mind that your estate will be handled as you wanted at the end of your life's journey.

I went to the workshop offered in my area (North Sacramento, Roseville). A two hour workshop explained everything I needed to know about getting a Trust to prevent probate. The documents came very fast and were finalized. A notary came to my home and I signed everything, later the documents were sent to me in a black binder. Easy Peasy and for a great cost compared to other law firms. Thank You Vanguard Legal Group.
