I am so glad to have met James Cilley. He is very aggressive in getting what I want taken care of (a real property and living trust dispute), knowledgeable, and yet a warm, friendly and welcoming gentleman. Please go to him if you need an estate attorney because he is an outstanding one! His rates are very reasonable and he is truly the best!

They charged me excessively. The opposing attorney told me, after settling the case, that he was astounded at the fees of Temmerman, Cilley and Kohlman. I went to a mediation without having been briefed on what would be taking place and what was at stake. After I testified (honestly), Jim Cilley, the one responsible for not having properly briefed me on what would be taking place and what the settlement actually entailed, told me, "You shouldn't have said that." I completely believe that the bill I received was based upon the amount which was at stake, not for the actual work they did. The opposing attorney told me that he did all of the "heavy lifting", yet, what he billed his client was much, much less than what I paid (I have since then used the 'opposing' attorney). While Cilley might know the law, I do not consider him to be an honorable person and would never use him again.

I was appointed as Trustee for my parent’s Living Trust and Executor for my mother’s Will, working with Mr. Temmerman and his legal team from 2012 to 2018. I also assisted my mother as Trustee for several years prior to 2012, working with Mr. Temmerman with my mother as my mother’s vision became severely impaired. The legal counsel and guidance provided by Mr. Temmerman was exemplary. He very effectively guided me through all legal matters relating to the administration and closing of the Trust. His legal and clerical team provided supportive information, documents, and response to inquiries and requests in an efficient and expeditious manner. Mr. Temmerman met with me in his office during my numerous trips to California and handled other legal matters via teleconferencing at all other times since I reside in Florida. His counsel regarding legal requirements for timelines and coordination of tax filing requirements with the Tax Accountant in California provided efficient transfer of documents to ensure that tax filing timelines, appraisals, real estate sale/liquidation, liquidation of estate assets, and distributions to the beneficiaries were effectively met on a timely basis and in compliance with the laws of the multiple states where property ownership was held by the Trust. The services provided over the many years resulted in a smooth path for resolutions to several complex Trust situations and allowed me to feel secure in knowing I was receiving the best legal expertise for administering a complex Trust.

My experience with this law firm has been tremendous. I have not had the same experience as some other reviewers. Temmerman, Cilley and Kohlmann avoids litigation by properly setting up estates at the beginning. Additionally, they are great strategists with clients to avoid future litigation. That's my personal experience with Bob Temmerman and Jody Bryson.

Amazing work with our estate planning. This team is thorough, modern (electronic accounts, crypto currency?!), and asks all the questions you would never think of. This firm over charges and prefers expensive litigation to negotiated settlement. They're all set up to charge excessive fees, and will avoid a solution as long as possible...to extract more fees.
