I live in Mass and my local stores did not have some pistols that I wanted to get my hands on before buying. I stopped at Swamp Yankee while in CT visiting my parents and they had a great selection of pistols that they let me feel out. They were very helpful and answered all my questions. I would definitely shop with them any time I’m in CT.

Great variety of firearms and ammo.
The folks on staff are very friendly and knowledgeable!
One of the only places in CT that works directly with Palmetto State Armory, so you can build a CT compliant AR on a budget. (They also don't charge you a crazy extortion fee to get it)
They also have the best stickers for your ammo cans!

Love this place! Always happy to help with anything, very responsive about order updates, tax stamp updates, etc! Used to go to a place down the road from me, but they started treating customers like dirt, so I took my money elsewhere. Can't say I miss the old store I used to go to.

Protect your ears with sound suppressors, aka "silencers" when shooting firearms. Tom and the great team at Swamp Yankee arms will walk you through the NFA process so you can quickly and easily get your approval for your hearing protection recommended by many medical groups to help reduce and prevent hearing loss and tinnitus in shooters. This is also a great local gun shop that has in stock inventory of semi-automatic handguns and revolvers as well as long guns, ammo, lights Optics and lots of accessories for suppressor mounting and rifles in general. Also very active on Reddit and ask a local gun shop, and I recommend them highly. Just stop in and say hello if you're interested in learning more. In early 2025 the wait time for the NFA approval on a suppressor is within a few days and only a year ago it was several months, so there is no time like the present to invest in protecting your ears in the years of those around you while being a Shooting Sports enjoyer.

Swamp has some of the best employees and customer service in the state hands down. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgable and is ready to help and explain anything and everything to whoever walks through the doors and make sure the customer is getting exactly what they want at the best price available. It is Worth the drive no matter where you live.

That being said in ten months I’ve purchased 5 firearm’s & 5 silencer's from this shop . Between Tom & Zack and all the other staff there you won’t find a better knowledgeable shop anywhere in CT . Tom has so many cans to explain and offer you , while Zack and the other crew assist with all the other options in the shop . My recent Benelli M4 was sick and a special order I’m speechless it’s sick . Your guys are hands down the best in CT and have earned me as a customer
