I can only tell you good things about this place, the front lady, and Ladonna Spivey. I have done two business transactions using their service and I have being treated with up most courtesy and professionalism. From timing to accuracy of the paper work and price range they are great. LaDonna Spivey has worked miracles for me. She takes the most complicated deal and/or situation and makes child's play out of it. I can call or email her anytime and she has always offered me good, sound advice. To be able to pick up a phone and contact an Attorney of her caliber and actually speak to them, speaks volumes about her. I give her my highest recommendation.

It has been a couple of months since I did business here, I wanted to collect my thoughts. I just wanted to express my extreme displeasure of my experience here. To me it was the utmost lack of professionalism when it came to how I was treated, as the paying client. I was the purchasing party in a property purchase, HUD included for authenticity, and this was a cash purchase. During the process I made an offer and a contract signed, it was later determined we wanted to add my fiancée to the paperwork so she would have mutual ownership as well. I relayed this information to my realtor and then my realtor to this law office. Everything seemed normal, as time approached I had not received any of the normal information from the closing attorney, not the wire transfer information for escrow nor how much fees and title insurance would be. I reached out on my own to my realtor for the wire info to make sure this was received in time for closing. I gave a personal check to my realtor for a deposit but this was rejected by this law office, I was confused but okay, fine. I provided a money order instead which was a task in and of itself, as I had to run an errand to get it. My fiancée and I showed up on the day of closing, both taking a day off work to do so. They took copies of our IDs and then called my realtor back. Turns out they didn’t have my deposit money, which was now as good as cash. Turns out my realtor dropped it off in the lock box earlier in the week and they didn’t even bother to check to see. An issue of a missing deposit should have been determined before the moment of closing. These are obnoxious issues, but the true angering part of this experience is when it came time to go sign papers. They told me that my fiancée was not on the paperwork and because of “identity theft security”, she was not allowed to be in the room for signing. Not allowed to be involved in a large purchase of the land we were buying to build a house together on. This was extremely upsetting. She should have been on the paperwork as this was relayed to the lawyer at least a week before closing. I suppose was the reasoning for this mishap was they were too lazy to redo the paperwork and have the sellers initial the change. Not only was this insulting to my family but this error had to be remedied by a real estate attorney I trust and cost me an additional $50 at the deed office to refile with the county clerk to get my fiancées name on the deed. My realtor apologized for the experience because she knew it was a bad one, and won’t be closing there with any of her clients again. I will be doing likewise and will be discouraging anyone I hear might be using this attorney’s office. These issues could have been handled in a million different ways and seemingly every chance we were not considered.

Honestly, I would not rate this place as a one star. My sister is a customer of this place. (My sister was in the back talking to the lady) and I came in five minutes after my sister and sat down in the waiting area! So, one of the ladies (Donnie or Bonnie) whose a worker of LaDonna B Spivey were sitting down in the front with me and another worker who was older lady (Claire) came from the back of the business to the front. The blonde lady who was sitting up front where I was said to Claire is (my sister name) in the back and the other lady said, "umm it's a black girl back there," and the blonde lady replied, "ya that's her!"
From a guest looking inside this business, this is NOT great customer service and this is NOT how you describe an individual expecially when you have customers of variety of ethnicity!
I would like for this matter to be dealt with!
