We love stopping at libraries to get some wiggles out on road trips, especially in the winter. The kids area was well curated. There were plenty of activities to keep the little one entertained and moving around. All the staff were incredibly friendly.

Ms. Flamingo's Story time is such a gift to the community. I was really pleasantly surprised by the children's section (especially for younger children.) And everyone on staff is really kind and helpful, and generally warm and understanding towards children.

Love this library. The staff are great! Friendly, informative and true stewards of knowledge for the betterment of the community of Walsenburg. The book selection is small but with a wide variety of interesting and enticing books, ranging from the classics to modern literature. They also have a huge selection of children's books, suitable for every age from pre school to young adult. There is also an impressive selection of graphic novels, audio books, and DVDs (Blu-Ray available as well). Also, the amount of community events keeps things exciting and interesting while informing and educating the layman on topics that may be inaccessible outside of these programs. Quiet, serene and comfortable, this library is amazing, truly. Highly recommend anyone visiting Walsenburg to stop in and experience a piece of the heart and soul of Huerfano County.

Great small town library in a beautiful old school building. I reserve and read lots of books here, decent selection. The children love coming here to the kids and young adult areas. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of good use of the library for local events and groups.

This is one of the top libraries I have been to, even though it is a small rural library. Ms. Sherry does a fantastic job with the children's programs. We just saw Kyle Grove's magic show there yesterday and on Friday they will have owl pellets for the kids to dissect. The furnishings and layout are pleasant, they have computers for wifi, video games for the teens and tweens to play, games and toys for the younger kids and book sales often enough to fill your shelves. I really enjoy visiting this library.

Excellent library. It provides a feeling of important historical significance when you walk through the doors. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. It's also a perfect place to sit down and enjoy the free wifi

Building is nice. However, the last two days the hours claim to be open, the place has been closed and no information as to why. Posted or on the answering service. Call ahead so ya dont end up wasting your time.
