Once and never again. I usually do our taxes myself, but we had some changes last year and decided to use an Accountant this time. I appreciate that the firm accepted our business 2 days before the filing deadline and made it clear they would most likely be filing an extension, at this point I wish they hadn't accepted it at all. As a brand new client, it would have been lovely to have a brief 2 minute phone call to review the packet of information I dropped off (W-2's, Interest forms, etc.) At the time I dropped everything off, I highlighted our banking information for our refund to be direct deposited. This turns out to be very important, as we had a major house fire and are currently displaced, yet they didn't include our banking information when they filed our taxes so the IRS is mailing a check to the house that's uninhabitable. I have our mail being forwarded to our temporary residence, but not all of it seems to make it there. They gave us our tax filings back but didn't include the packet I gave them which included last year's filing, W-2, interest forms, etc. The admin staff is great and they try to be very responsive, but it seems they're often waiting for answers from the accountants and those answers come in bits and pieces. Never an offer for a discussion with an accountant directly. I wish them all well.

Horrible horrible horrible. Over the course of a few years one of the employees made two different mistakes costing us over $5000. All we got was the interest paid and a sorry sorry sorry. Too busy to double check major mistakes. Would not waste my money going to them ever.
