This office, lacks any kind of competency whatsoever! They will be quick to write you on a code compliance issue, but will refuse to answer your phone calls and or any questions that you have regarding the compliance that you were supposedly not following. I’ve reached out to the manager of this office several times I’ve reached out to the officer who wrote me the citation several times, but they failed to get back with you or fail to answer any questions that you have regarding such matters. The manager promised to handle the situation for me because I’m a disabled veteran and because she failed to do so it cost me a court date with the city magistrate, even though the manager assured me that she was going to handle the matter personally. No one ever seems to have any answers for any of your questions nor can they put you in the right directions on where you can get the help that you need. All these people do is right around in pick up trucks taking pictures of your property without any regard to any questions as to why you are out of compliance In fact, the answer I keep getting is just wait for your next letter in 20 days…

RICHARD PEREZ is an actual moron that does not have a single clue of his job and no comprehension of legality in regards to Florida tenant laws. Statute 83.51 under Section 5 states "Functioning facilities for heat during winter" as a NECESSITY in our house, and Richard Perez REFUSED to acknowledge these rights. I accuse them of collusion with the corrupt slumlord for this!! If you have issues with a similar situation, GO TO THE STATE COURT. Do NOT go through THESE CORRUPT INGRATES.

I don’t know what’s going on with the city over the past year but all I get is voicemails and I’ve left approximately 11 in the last 5 months regarding a lot next to me that is severely overgrown and causing major fire hazard. It actually caught first last November in addition to that the trench has never been dug out and it causes massive water flow issues for my home. The city needs to replace every worker in this division.

Does Bernadette Joseph exist? I have tried to reach this person. No one responds. Very poor first impression of Code Compliance.
Something needs to be done ASAP.

They’re obviously too busy enforcing how people park on their own property to do anything else. It’s been six months since I complained about a wooded lot next to my property owned by someone living out of state. It was full of garbage and I mentioned a bench needing to be removed because of a bees nest. 6 months later the garbage that wasn’t actually disposed of, but instead just moved to the side of the road has been slowly taken by random people or is still there. The bee infested bench was never touched and now is large enough that we are actually attacked by them. Filed my third complaint and I’m fully expecting it to go nowhere. I’d love to know what these people do all day because it’s clearly not investigating complaints or following up to see if anything is actually done about them.

All of a sudden now that all these new homes are being built in our neighborhood, they want to complain about every little thing that needs to be fixed. The neighborhood is turning to trash anyways so why do they care now? Screw these people and whoever keeps building homes on every lot all over the city. They just want to nitpick!

We've lived here 11 years, and we get Code Compliance notices in the mail for irrelevant things. Always the same officer, and every time we contact her to address the issue it was either a mistake she made ("looked at the wrong address on Google Maps") or she never followed up and assumed we weren't compliant. We have an RV, and we park the way we're supposed to, but she keeps sending us a notice saying either it's been parked in front of our house longer than permitted (it's not, and her "photographic evidence" always shows she's wrong) or it's being lived in on our property (really?!). Wish we could file a complaint against her for harassment.

Code enforcement! Why do we have them? They don't do anything for you. They never help you when you have a complaint! I don't know why they have all these laws because when you complain about someone not following them. They never enforce them. They can't be bothered to do anything! In palm bay you can do whatever you want. The city does not care at all!
