Found this on iOverlander. Arrived at midnight. Parked under a tree. Relatively quiet despite close distance to I-10. Woke up to lots of birds chirping above us in the trees. They have pull through for RVs. Outside bathrooms were closed for repairs but during business hours they let you use the bathrooms inside. 4 star bc 24 hrs bathroom would be nice (assuming the outside bathroom were working).

As a rest stop, it served it's purpose for us. Had to make a quick stop. Going eastbound it's kind of confusing because it's not clearly visible and not directly off the highway. This is a very small rest stop, clean and serves a purpose!

Bathrooms used to be open 24/7 and now they close them. Why closed them? Y’all have cameras and the sheriffs are next door. Bathrooms are literally advertised so I stopped coming to this area because of it.

Stopped here to use the restroom and we greeted by a very nice lady. The restrooms were the cleanest we have seen for a rest stop. Also she was very informative and suggested things to do, eat and see. We told her we were going to Guadalupe Mountains National Park and Carlsbad Cavern National Park and she told us a story about when she took her son years ago. A pleasant stop and break after a long drive. Also if you stop after hours the restrooms are still open.

Lame town with terrible governance. First, the off ramp is not intuitive and as you enter this town, nothing says “only exit.” So if you don’t have GPS you will bypass the only exit to this unmaintained town.

What is worse, is that Texas DOT changed the ramps and those ramps flood… so people still use the old ramp areas because otherwise there isn’t access.

The town is falling apart, no one is taking pride in their establishments, and it’ll be a ghost town in a few years. Pretty sad really.

Check out the on ramp outside the city… this place needs new city council members across the board. Streets don’t have drainage, debris everywhere, like a third world country.

The old timers should take more pride in their town…
