We love Ovilla family dentistry! Our whole family goes here and have never had a single complaint. Everyone is so kind and does a great job at their job! This is coming from someone who doesn’t like to go to the dentist and I love going to them!

My first visit was 2 days ago after a 4 year hiatus from dental care. They have a wonderful panoramic machine. They took xrays and pictures of all my teeth. They expertly and quickly diagnosed some challenges and started working out a long-term plan. A couple of times, I felt lost, particularly when I got the full plan and pricing, but the key is to ask questions and talk about what you want. They listen.

Dr. Sharpe is kind, intelligent, and clear. In my second visit, she gave me shots to numb my mouth, and I can say that it was the smoothest experience I've ever had. Very little pinch and expertly placed. I felt nothing the whole deep cleaning.

Speaking of, Kaitlin, my dental hygienist, was gentle, efficient, and fast. It seemed she could work with me no matter my position without asking me to reposition every few minutes like some past dentists I've been to. I go the hang of her hand motions and queues in a jiffy and we went to town. I never felt like I was drowning. She gave me many breaks. We just did one side because of the type of cleaning... and no one has ever gotten rid of the coffee staining like she did. See my picture. My left side is clean and sparkling.. my right is still stained and gross. Going back later to do the other side.

Amanda in the office worked with me to schedule some fast follow-ups given some insurance challenges.

Frankly, I was wowed by the whole experience and made sure they knew it.

The office is very clean. Everyone was very kind. My 1st appointment was very thorough and it didn't feel rushed. Dr. Sharpe took time to go over my X-rays and treatment needed and is very knowledgeable. It was a great experience.

The representative that I spoke with today was very Rude. She asked me about my insurance card, I explained to her what was going on with me changing companies. She stated that my card won’t go through, I asked how do you know if you don’t have my updated card. She chuckled and said I know it want go through. I was like, how do you know if you haven’t tried. She chuckled again and said I’m certain it won’t go through. I said okay, don’t worry about it then. She asked again was I sending it, I said no I won’t be sending anything. She chuckled again and said okay.

They are knowlegable about denistry,. I had no problem with thier diagnois nor the financial cost of their work, they all are some pretty kool chicks. Dr sharpe , ms freckles is the best……..

When I tell y’all these doctors and assistants are the best in the DFW… it’s NO comparison. Friendly, gentle, and knowledgeable, everything you need from your dentist. So glad I found them, a couple local dentist don’t even come close. Don’t go anywhere for your dental work but OVILLA FAMILY. Will definitely be back for any cleanings or work needed. I called 27 general dentists to try to find someone who could extract a molar that had cracked in half after going to Monarch, which wanted $2,400 or $978 out of pocket to do the extraction.

After many, many phone calls, I came across Ovilla Family Dentistry. The front desk staff were by far the friendliest and most helpful that I spoke with over a 48-hour time period. Hilda and Dr. Shaw were phenomenal.

You get the strong sense that this establishment is run by Dr. Shaw versus a money-hungry office manager who has zero touch-points with the patient until she presents you with a massively inflated treatment plan.

Professionally, I help businesses improve their customer experience, and in my opinion, Dr. Shaw has cracked the code in every aspect. From bedside manner to finding and retaining talented staff and actual procedures, she absolutely excels!

A doctor with integrity who actually treats her patients how she’d want to be treated—in today’s managed sick care atmosphere, this is a breath of fresh air! I am signing the rest of my family up with Dr. Shaw as soon as I get the chance!

Thank you again for going above and beyond and volunteering to do a difficult extraction that 26 other dentists said they’d refer me to an oral surgeon for. Not to mention, my out-of-pocket cost was 1/4 of that of Monarch and 1/3 the cost of the cheapest other option. You have a stellar business here; keep up the amazing work!
