If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I have been without a car because I paid my taxes online instead of missing time from work to go into the office to pay. I need to register my car, but these people in this office do not care about anyone’s situation but their own. I have 2 jobs that I can not get to without bugging people for a ride because they refuse to release my payment confirmation into the dmv system for 10 business days. This is my livelihood. If they can pinpoint the exact day when I paid, why can’t the same measures be taken to release it as when you go in and pay. Everyone wants you to do everything self service online so they don’t have to work. It’s more convenient for the office, but we get punished by having to wait 2 weeks (which is extremely long, since it take 10 seconds for them to take the money from your account) for it to clear. Sometimes I think that the town does these things to purposely make things harder for people who actually work.

I just received my motor vehicle tax bill on Thursday and it’s due on Monday. It's frustrating when bills arrive close to the due date.When I called the office to speak with someone about my concerns of it being sent so close to the due date, I was told by law it can’t be sent out prior than a couple of days before the due date. Why not give your residents adequate notice of their tax bill. That way it can be paid when it’s due instead of trying to pay it before the delinquent date and be accessed late fees!

So I just went to get a car registered and couldn’t bc I was told I had a delinquent tax bill. I paid my taxes in full. So I call and got some very rude lady and she said that there was interest and I owed $8.60. So why wasn’t this charge brought up when I paid my taxes. I was also never notified I had a delinquent bill. So now I have to wait until Tuesday to register the car.

I am aware that there are people in this world who just like to complain. But regarding this, the reviews speak volume. I have a similar issue, I have not had my car for years, in fact my car was registered in my previous city. Never got a chance to transfer it. However I been receiving a bill for taxes for this car, that I haven’t had for years. I keep telling them, sent every single piece of documentation showing proof that my old car deemed a total loss YEARS AGO. They always tell me I need more proof showing I did not retrieve the vehicle. It’s annoying an then they have a nerve to threaten to penalize. What is their penalty for the mistake? And being stressful?

Service is terrible...overcharge....undercharge, then send delinquent notices to DMV.
Condescending attitudes. These people do not care about their constituents....
