I have been practicing law for more than thirty years and I rarely write a review about legal service providers. That being said, I am making an exception for Mediations Solutions and Hon. Gail Prudenti.
The staff at Mediation Solutions was very helpful setting up the mediation and working with my calendar. No issue was too big or too small for the staff to handle. They were simply great.
The same must be said about Judge Prudenti. First and foremost, her extensive legal/judicial experience gave a great deal of credibility to a relatively informal process. This was helpful in resolving the case in that the client felt that she was heard and that the Judge’s opinion was reliable and valuable.
There are many mediators who have great legal/judicial experience, however what separates Judge Prudenti from most “neutrals” is her eagerness to talk directly to the client. She, however, did not just speak to the client. She did a lot of listening. This is rare. The Judge’s empathetic nature and her excellent communications skills, helped the client understand the process. Ultimately, this is what enabled the client to settle this case.

I just completed a settlement day at Mediation Solutions of NY and this was my first opportunity to utilize their services. It was a very successful day in terms of resolving difficult cases. My client, who was in attendance from out of state was equally happy with the results of the day. Judge Condon was an extremely effective mediator whose style was well received by all sides. Diane Clancy and the staff made scheduling easy. Diane and the IT department were extremely accommodating throughout the day to ensure that everything ran smoothly. The facilities are also top-notch and very comfortable for all.

I had never heard of this mediation company before but a carrier on a difficult case said they would pay if I used a particular mediatior, a former judge from Suffolk County, William Conden, on my New York County case. I was very skeptical but they would not agree to my choices. So I checked around and I was told Judge Condon 'gets' plaintiffs, he was fair, and he understood what values outside of Suffolk were. The mediation company also had quick dates with him as we were close to trial and needed speed. They were very responsive, and made things happen quickly. True to form the mediator was straightforward and direct but not pushy and his numbers were not wrong. We settled for a fair number and I would use the Judge and Mediation Solutions again.

I recently mediated a case, pre-litigation, with a demand of $450,000 and no offer using Judge Condon as the mediator. In less than an hour and a half we were very close to settling, which ultimately happened. This was a unique case, with an untested new law and very interesting legal and factual issues and lots of emotion. Couldn't have settled without the assistance of Mediation Solutions. Very reasonable fee structure too.
