Horrific experience with both the pharmacist/owner and the front clerk. Our dog requires a monthly prescription. According to the pharmacist the vet does not fill out the prescription correctly yet each month the prescription is filled out to the prior months qualifications yet each month the prescription is incorrect. Both the front clerk and pharmacist refuse to call and chat with vet, explaining what or how the prescription needs to be written therefore we/the consumer must go back and forth between the vet and pharmacy at minimum 4 times each month. YL compound pharmacy has zero customer service, zero helpfulness.

The pharmacist/owner is extremely arrogant and narcissistic thinking he is the only one who is able to fill our prescription. We have taken our business to another compound pharmacy who not only chats with our vet but does electronic prescriptions making our lives so much easier. Not to mention the new compound pharmacy we found mails our prescription to us.

Avoid YL compound pharmacy at all costs.

Service was slower than slow. I submitted my RX earlier in the day. They said it would be done by 4:30 and they closed at 5:00. I showed up at 5:00 and it still wasn’t ready. They said “just a few minutes.” 28 minutes later the RX was ready. They seem really disorganized…definitely not a trait you want in a pharmacy. Not going back.

Prescription cream took over one month to get and such an odd run around. I don’t know who is running this place now but it went downhill fast. I can’t even get a copy of my prescription on file with them after asking over one week. Just needed a copy emailed for doctor appointment. There is something shady going on there. There are always weird excuses for everything. Stay away…..something is off from before.

Staff is friendly, kind and helpful. Have several allergies and this is the only place I can trust the meds are made truly without them. Highly recommend.

Took more than two weeks to receive my dog's eye medication after being told it would arrive in a few days. The day after I ordered, I received a message from cashier saying the medication would hopefully go out that day, but it would arrive in a day or two. A week passes waiting. I call again and I am told, "Oh, I will make sure it goes out today." Again almost a week passes, and I call again and again I get the same response. "Oh, I will make sure it goes out today." Frustrated, I speak to a manager that tries to explain that these compounds can be difficult and so on. I point out that if that is true then why are you telling your customer it will be there is a few days? And, after my conversation with him, I got the prescription the next day! No issues after making a fuss! I called my vet who recommended Wedgewood Pharmacy in New Jersey. I just called and ordered, $49.25. Med Specialists Pharma charged me $105.12 for same medication but in a different format. What a waste of time, money and frustration. Never again!
