I have immensely enjoyed working with Kathryn Lonowski and her team. She had gone above and beyond for me during the most difficult times of my divorce. She will fight for you and always has your best interest in mind. She knows the laws inside and out and will always keep negotiating until her clients are satisfied. The first time I used Kathryn was for my divorce. This experience was okay but everything was almost laid out and was not a high conflict divorce. As for my consultation today for an inquiry to relocate my children and I to a more affordable area closer to family she shamed me the entire meeting until I lost my temper. She first started out by stating I would likely win because I have majority of custody. After about 15 minutes, it was like a switch went off. She asked me several times “have I thought hard about this move and what it would do to my kids” and I would answer I’ve thought bling and hard. When I would try and ask specific questions on relocation she would again divert and ask again if I have really thought this through and that the grass isn’t always greener. She then proceeded to recommend me getting a roommate. I do not have an extra room and it’s non of her business if I do and it’s not her place to recommend that as an option. Later, she mentioned for me to meet a man so he could eventually move in to my home so he can help pay the mortgage. This is when I lost my temper. All her side comments were completely inappropriate but this one was the worse. She kept explaining everything is in the best interest of the children which I understand but yet you recommend I get strangers or men to move in. It’s absurd! At one point she mentioned that she worked 60 hours a week when her kids were little. I’m sorry, but I refuse to work a third job Kathryn and who’s going to watch my kids? I told her that her input was inappropriate and she still continued.
Kathryn was unable to stay on task of the question I was wanting to get input. Instead she shamed me and questioned my parenting. At the end she stated again I would likely win in court. So why Kathryn, did you bring up ideas for me to make more money that are not an option if I’m likely to win. Your comments were unnecessary! You are completely unprofessional and unaware! If I could give her negative stars I would.

Kathryn was my ex wives attorney for us to figure out our child care and expenses. I’m not leaving a review of how she treated my case, which she tried to sneak many things through before I even realized it and thus nearly locked me out of a fair chance, but more to report on how she treats her own client and other attorneys. On several occasions, Kathryn’s advice to my ex caused massive contention in a relationship that wasn’t. She essentially worked at driving a wedge between us. My ex was guilted, shamed, and called me in tears, feeling terribly about the way Kathryn had talked to her about our past. I don’t deal with legal stuff much, and Kathryn used that happily against me to try and win an unwinnable case. I spoke with several (9 to be exact) of her peers in the area, all of whom had a negative opinion of her, personally and professionally. She made this process difficult on all parties involved, used what I would categorize as unethical practices, and all in all? Was extremely unprofessional, insulting, belittling and just not a good person to even talk to. I had a phone meeting with her one time, and it seemed the Kathryn is set on making the process for everyone involved as difficult as possible. In the end, after they had taken payment from my ex, she had tried contacting the office to ask a couple questions about a process she didn’t understand. She was told not to contact the office anymore, that the case was closed, and she needed to figure it out for herself. There’s several attorneys in this area, you’ve been warned about this one

I am taking the time to return to delete a review I felt pressured to write three years ago. Here is my true review. There is no option for 0 stars, otherwise that would have been my rating. I would absolutely not suggest Kathryn Lonowski. Her behavior is bullying, never advocating. She made grave errors in my divorce proceedings, one error in the amount of $600,000 that she laughed off and tried to blame on her paralegal. That said her paralegal was professional and greatly responsive. Family and friends frequently asked if Kathryn was working for my ex or for me. My divorce was horrendous and my experience was…it was Kathryn, my ex and my ex’s attorney against me. Her errors and guidance were egregious. She was aggressive and beyond disrespectful with me, often berating me, for months berating me based on her $600,000 error. I still consider filing grievance.
