Really poor experience overall. They ordered the wrong contact lenses. It took me going back and forth with them for over three months with no resolution of the issue. In the end I opted to get what I needed from an online vendor which was way less of a hassle. Terrible attitude from the front desk and the support staff as a whole. 0/5 stars, would not recommended.

This place is truly disappointing. Regardless of your background—whether you're Black, white, Indian, or Asian—it's best to avoid this establishment. The atmosphere is absolutely racist. If they assume you don't speak Spanish, they'll make derogatory comments right in front of you. Although I understand Spanish, I chose not to reveal that, and they ended up making jokes about me.

This place is a perfect example why I should not trust 4.5 /5 rating unless is for taking people's money by being over priced & making unnecessary follow-up with their doctor who rushes and not writing accurate glasses prescription. I went there in March 2024 because my eye doctor for years did not take my insurance. This place is over priced and find a way to milk insurance by scheduling people with no eye issues to come "to check" two weeks then three months. I cancelled that three month appointment because I had no issues with my eyes.

I went there for a regular check up which had no issues but getting the wrong prescription for my eyes. They claim I had to get used to it and I never used it unless for reading. I was supposed to be prescribed bifocals that i can not use except for the reading strip that rarely helped. I got tired of calling about the issues with my glasses and make the best of it. I rarely wore it because of headaches. I decided not to stress calling them and to pay out of pocket to my original doctor and get the prescription for them to compare. I just found out that prescription was lower than the one i had for years WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. I told them I never had issues with my glasses all these years until March 2024 at this Lens Lab. I knew something was off and being that I just found out is the reason why I decided to do this review. People need to know because I wish I knew I was wasting my time travelling two hours to get there.

My original eye doctor gives the glasses, case, cloth, cleaner while Lens Lab gives just the case and when i ask for the cloth I got paper towel and I have to pay for it and the cleaner. I paid $10 for a cleaner because I needed to clean the glasses when I picked it up. Not even clean they clean the glasses when I picked it up which is why I wasted $10 .and had glass cleaner at home.

This Lens Lab location gives true meaning to capitalism because all they are low key hustlers that care about is findinding ways to take peoples money with those unnecessary follow-ups. I would never go back there not even if i get a millions dollars to go or everything free forever.....No Thank You!!!!

Thought I’d try supporting a local business instead of my usual Warby Parker. Oof. Mistake.

I’ve never had such a short eye test. Read the alphabet twice, adjusted twice. Ok, you need progressive lenses.

At Warby Parker — and even at Cohen’s — your optometrist will spend time adjusting the lens, asking you what looks best, readjusting, asking again, then readjusting some more. None of that here. I also find it very weird that they make you fill out health forms that seem to be printed off some generic 10c website for a medical clinic — am I breastfeeding? Have I suffered heart problems? I can understand you want info on your clients but this was so so weird and shonky. Why does breastfeeding have anything to do with my eye “test” that took less than 2 minutes? And why are you asking for my SSN?

Of course when you ask to pay for just the prescription, they mention you’ll need to pay an extra $25 for the PD (which you can do at home online). It’s such a scam.

I don’t trust this optometrist and I worry about the people who go here thinking their eye health is being addressed.

If you can, go to Warby Parker ($95 for a thorough 30-min exam), get your rx, and buy your glasses online. I’m doing that this weekend after wasting $65 at this place.

Don’t support local businesses who don’t care about you!

Evelyn was amazing with my purchase, I purchased glasses here in 2021 and then I broke them and she helped me find another pair of glasses that I could put my frames in as even though t’s been many years I could still see out of them. She was patient and really wemt the extra mile to help me, I highly recommend her!
