He talked to me on the phone a lot about my case and even went through the difficulties with selling our house. He did a great job helping me. I do really appreciate it and highly recommend him.

Legal Aid of Arkansas has an application for Domestic Violence, yet they do not help with anything criminal (at least that is my understanding) and that should have been my first red flag. I applied for assistance as I have no income, and had recently discovered that victims of CSA can make cases against their abusers in Arkansas until the age of 50. I honestly applied because while I have a BSW degree, and want to pursue a law degree in the future, I can readily say I know next to nothing when it comes to, well, legal aid! So, this being said, I thought I could at least receive a pointer from Legal Aid of Arkansas as to where I should go, and to be fair I received one - i.e. "get a private attorney, we can't help".

I had called to check up on my application and the woman who answered was literally laughing on the other end. Laughing! And I could not tell if it was because of filling out the incorrect application, or the content of my application, or if someone was goofing off in the office next to her. She laughed for a good solid three minutes, chuckling through her conversation with me. She even told me she was, and I quote "losing my mind over here" - to which I replied trying to be kind "boy to I understand that!". She asked if I needed an Order of Protection (this must be the only DV oriented thing they can provide but- is that not a criminal instance? the line of civil and criminal is nuanced as heck). She then put me on hold for a while then came back and gave me the news I mentioned above. Then, pitifully, as if saying "poor you" told me to "try and enjoy the rest of your day".

I have been working up the courage to go after my childhood abusers and reached out to Legal Aid of Arkansas and they gave me very unprofessional service and absolutely no direction to go in. I do not actually know what they are there for if again, they have a domestic violence application that you can literally fill out fully, but can't, don't or won't(?) help with criminal things. Boy, when I get that JD degree in the future (gotta have goals right?) I fully plan to pursue the betterment of services of this kind for all incomes, all situations and all demographics. Justice is frilly, lacey, and moot if justice cannot, or doesn't bother to serve everyone. Or at the very least, throw you a tangible option to pursue your needs. I am back to square one and with courage evermore- I hope for anyone in a similar situation to mine that you hang onto your courage and to press into your goals. You are not alone no matter how it may feel sometimes.

Unfortunately, they were not able to help me, just my luck. My situation has changed, so I will probably try again. They do have very helpful self pro se forms. The female intake specialist seemed like she was ready to go home.

I make $15.90 an hour. But that's TOO MUCH for any help ..... I got my niece back anyway. She's lost her mom then put in a foster home . Well, God had a plan. When He does something, NO ONE can stop Him.

Do not recommend whatsoever for any reason. I'd rather be a fool and represent myself than have this supposed lawyer do it for me. Opposing witnesses didn't show up. Judge OPENLY tossed Plaintiff's outlandish statement before court started. As an INVESTIGATOR with 28 years experience from DOJ to Martindale-Hubbel Top Rated firms , I had everything to Slam-Dunk this case and more...and the lawyer (lol) was so afraid and stated the "judge doesn't want to see any of that" (evidence) and further stated in front of a former intelligence analyst that was with me to see the charade, "The courtroom isn't the place to be arguing."

Either Plead guilty to a crime that wasn't committed by anyone, let alone committed by me or lose because "the cops are on her (plaintiff's) side," according to the perv lawyer. (When are the cops NOT on the plaintiff's side?)
The actual cop is Plaintiff's daughter's next door neighbor and he wasn't there. The second supposed motorcycle cop BLAND was an old high school friend of mine...and HE WAS NOT THERE even though he wasn't the one involved. The 2nd cop involved was actually BOND but since he quit SSPD and moved to Mississippi they substituted Jeff Bland's name onto the report!
And the perv lawyer (lol) STILL lost due to a host of basically cowardice inaction stating my presentation and photos of the alleged crime scene were a "bunch of weird photos" when looked at on his flip-phone, I'm guessing.
You should see HIS weird online photos; naked in bed with another man with coconuts covering their private parts draped with a leather whip gesturing "call me". Quite the professional.

Caveat: The plaintiff blurted out and CONFESSED her involvement in the Bill Reed Oklahoma Cold Case MURDER to me then freaked out and called her daughter's Siloam cop next door neighbor Josh Staton to help conjure up a false police report...TWICE to discredit me. Since it was entered into evidence, that is now FALSIFYING EVIDENCE...Felony.

Just the day before court on 29 April 2024, I provided 3 hours of deposition on the William Carl Reed MURDER and her involvement and was vehemently told by the perv lawyer that it nor her three felony drug trafficking convictions, five previous restraining orders on two of her 5 FIVE previous husbands and that she was a drug mule for my cousin Jack has nothing to to with the Plaintiff accusing me of: drive-by shooting, peeping tom, stalking, bomb making, assault, sneaking in her house when she's not home, driving in Siloam Springs, BEING AN INVESTIGATOR, hiding under the house crawl space, hiding on her roof, voting for Nixon, driving a Ford, bank robbery, kidnapping, bad hair, etc and on and on and on and having not seen me since 1991 even though we lived in the same 1000 sq ft house in winter 2022/2023 which is when she confessed her involvement and stated who the other murderers are.

Not surprisingly right after she admitted her part in the Cold Case MURDER is when all these accusations by her surfaced.
But Legal Aid assured me that with everything she's saying, I would be found GUILTY.
No witnesses. No Police Reports. Tons of my ignored contradictory evidence and he STILL LOST! Total failure.

And the Legal Aid lawyer STILL lost the case. A pathetic example of what a lawyer should NOT be.

Phone service & interview

Not very helpful at all. They told me they would mail me their decision of whether to take my case or not.

They didn’t choose to help me, but did send me some tips. Not legally recommending anything, of course, but things that would have taken me a little longer to figure out and find on my own.

This "service" if you could call it that is truly worthless. Each and every member, attorney, everyone involved has a twisted and distorted view on every single case. A truly useless and worthless program all together. They have no morals and will not help you in anyway shape or form. A waste of time and energy.

They don't help with anything criminal they don't help with child custody if there's domestic violence in the case even when you were the victim. So I don't see anything what they aid with at all. Highly upset and reported them to the mayor's office and the Supreme Court.
