Property taxes are routed out of state if you pay by check. Despite being paid on time and post marked on time, the check was lost within the system and a late fee was assessed due to their poor system for managing our tax dollars. They have no accountability for policies that lead to undue financial burdens on tax payers within the town.

The tax collecting system is horrible here. They outsource which is illegal per state law. Then when paid they don't actually put it back in system you have to prove you paid this outside source to them even though they outsourced and should be connected. Making it difficult for anyone. It's very embarrassing when they can't do a simple task.
