On a more serious note, while I understand the importance of wills & trusts, even for me it was confusing because there were a lot of rules, I couldn't separate the things I recall in case law from school to reality, and each state has its own special sets of rules, it just was a bit overwhelming.

I didn't want to take any chances, since this is also something you really want to get done right so I went with Colby because I felt strongly that Colby's depth of knowledge would ensure that my living trust was done correctly.

Colby made the entire process easy, and set up several follow ups. He was thoughtful in executing certain parts that allotted for more flexibility if (or as) needed, and helped me better think through aspects that I would have otherwise glazed over as not important.

I have, and continue to recommend Colby for Wills & Trusts as he did an exceptional job for me!

So a friend of mine is going through something very similar to what I went through and I was like OMG... you should call Colby LaVelle!!! Ok, there are hardly words to describe my experience with Colby LaVelle... but I'll try... Bankruptcy is a really scary thing especially after losing my job due to Covid. Colby made me feel like I was talking to a friend not a lawyer. He answered all my questions, truly put me at ease, made me smile, made me feel "not alone", and was supportive and encouraging. Where should I start?! I have gone through 2 bankruptcies in the past, and let me tell you, Colby Lavelle has been the best out of the 3 attorneys that I have dealt with in the past. He was able to get my complicated BK Chapter 7 discharged and his services were affordable! If you are feeling depressed/lost because a mountain of debt that is owed, I highly recommend talking to an attorney for advice and hopefully talk to Colby. After I was served with a judgement of over $262,000, I decided to just direct message Bankruptcy attorneys on Yelp for help since I was about to get my wages garnished/bank account frozen and within less than an hour, I received a response from Colby which was a very simple corgial message... "Come to my office and let's talk over your situation as soon as you can". The next day, I met him at his Pleasanton, CA office for over 2 hours to go over my situation and what best action to take. He explained everything in detail while running all the numbers (debt/income) why I should and shouldn't file for BK 7 ,BK 13 or no BK. My situation was very complicated (close to $500,000 in debts and just lost a lawsuit for the judgement mentioned above), he gave me the advice that I should file for BK Chapter 7 than a Chapter 13 because with a 13 I would be owing around 120K or more during the next 5 years because of my current salary, so I filed a Chapter 7. I filled out the paperwork that he gave me as quickly as possible because of my judgment ( a lot of questions, but pretty simple questions), then print scanned, and sent him the information via his web portal (you can email or drop off the paperwork to his office). Quickly, Colby filed and set up the Bankruptcy court appointment right away while giving frequent updates via email and a phone call about the upcoming appointment. At the meeting with the trustee, he met me at the Oakland courthouse close to an hour before my appointment time and he explained what they might ask which made me more comfortable and calmed my nerves before meeting with the trustee. Since my case was very complicated and I had to deal with 2 trustees ( State and Federal), I communicated with Colby for about 3 months frequently via email and phone while the trustees were looking at my case and requiring more information. After close to 3 months, he sent me the email that I was waiting for and it was all good news, we were able to get the debts discharged through the bankruptcy. If he was able to get me off the hook, he can easily help you as well and get you a fresh clean start. No more people knocking at your door, harass calling you everyday, getting demanding letters, etc. Colby was easy to work with, honest, very sharp (had a solution for any question or problem I asked him), treats you like if you are a friend, and was always available via email/phone. I strongly recommend using his service(s) and he can guide you with recommendations if you should or not file for bankruptcy. I am glad I made the right choice by choosing him to represent me. Since he has offices all over the bay area and Sacramento area, I hope this helps you hiring the best bankruptcy attorney if you are planning to file for bankruptcy.
