I hate that I must write this, but I feel it is my job to warn others about Dr. Patel. My husband has been to NUMEROUS doctors in his life for knee replacement, foot surveys, broken backs, hernia operations, and so on, and I have NEVER had to write a review on a doctor before.

Please please please do not see Dr. Patel. Not only was he BEYOND rude to his nurses yesterday right in front of us multiple times telling us he needed to "babysit" them but he also mistreated my husband to the point where my husband was in so much pain from what he was doing and did nothing about it except told my husband to "shut his mouth" over and over again as my husband kept telling him it burns so bad and I can't open my eye. Of course, he said he only said that so bacteria wouldn't get into his eye.

Dr. Patel did nothing about his pain, no "give it a second, I'm sorry" just "shut your mouth". He then WALKED OUT on my husband and said we aren't doing this today...and never returned to check on him, give him some sort of relief, and never finish the procedure- NOTHING!

I walked right up to the desk and made a report about how he treated my husband and how unprofessional he was towards the nurses shame on the company if they knew Dr. Patel is like this and they allow it.

The next day I called and spoke to Lindsey Wiseman the office manager who said she will report it to Dr. Schumaker the owner.

What is also sad is our personal eye doctor when he referred us to Dr. Patel warned us about his known "bad bedside manner" but this was our 3rd visit with him and it was NOT okay... it was disgusting behavior.

I will next call our eye doctor and let him know what happened in hopes he does not refer any more of his patients to Dr. Patel. No one should have to go through that emotional abuse whether a patient or a nurse. Shame on the Eye Specialists because they allow it.

We had an appointment today at 9:45 an . When we arrived they wanted us to reschedule. Hog wash, they were more worried about the other patients that had more money appointments than us. I would have given you a 0 on review, but that wasn’t an option. We will let everyone know about this train wreck. I wouldn’t send my enemies there. Place is garbage. You cost me money today

The ophthalmologist I saw was really pleasant. His staff were kind, courteous and knowledgeable. The waiting area was pleasant.

Now to the reason for my 1-star. I contacted my insurance company after speaking with a helpful staff member regarding the implants the insurance would pay for. I have some questions that I would like answered and have called the office to get the responses. I initially left a message with the billing department- thinking maybe he was in that area. However, he did not call me back. Roughly a week and a half later I called again and got sent to voice-mail. Left a message. Still no call back. Have gone through Facebook messenger, automated message giving a phone number to call. However, upon calling it, automated message plays telling the caller to have a credit card ready so that they can charge you $1.99 to get a voucher/coupon, good for $100, at retailers such as Walmart, Target, etc. No option to get a living, breathing, blood-pumping human being. Totally unacceptable.

I had both my eyes done by them. I thought everyone was so nice and educated. I was so scared to have my eyes operated on and they were so reassuring and kind to me. EVEN, the eye surgeon when i was ready for surgery and freaked out when they went to clamp my eye lid up. So calm and nice. Highly recommend
May I also say that I have had bad eye site and wore glasses all my life. Bifocals since around 40. I can see so clear now, I don't wear glasses except for bifocals now. So appreciative of that!!

I’ve been going to this place for years.. today I had an appointment paid my co pay and then told they wouldn’t see me because of a billing issue with insurance company! I got home called the insurance company and they said the bill was paid. I’ve been trying to get hold of billing department to no avail.. and I desperately need treatment for my right eye as I have retinal neovasculization issues and high eye pressure and need treatment to stop me going blind in one eye..

I Would never enter either place 50 N Plaza, Chillicothe, Ohio or 155 E Cir Ln Circleville Ohio. Lost vision in my left eye as a result of surgery done by doctor there. Where I truly believe it was blotched surgery by the eye doctor or someone he had practicing on my eye during surgery. Surgery was cataract at 50 N Plaza and lasik at 155 E Cir Ln Circleville, Ohio. I had vision prior to surgery and the day of then after surgery my vision was irreplaceably damaged . These people rush in their practice on patients. Waiting time is extremely long. Daily overbookings just to get patients in and collect insurance payments. I will never allow them to touch me again. What do you mean positive review. Obviously you guys don't actually read the reviews written. This happened only 2 months ago and not a year ago. Couldn't ask for any better service, staff was great,no waiting went through like clock work.
Surgery was painless, no problems afterwards. Very pleased with my results on my vision. Will go back,strongly recommend Eye Specialist of Ohio

I am very pleased with the Eye Specialists.
I am treated with care and respect.
My questions are answered.
I was upset with web like floaters nine days after my cataract surgery and they had me come right in and my eye was checked thoroughly. My fear of what was happening was subsided because they explained everything to me.
I give everyone who works there a big round of applause.
Everyone is always kind and pleasant.
On a side note, I was given a beautiful bouquet of 12 pink roses on my surgery day and the blooms are huge and they're still so beautiful 10 days later.
