I found Ely Laniado while doing a search on the Internet. How lucky I was to pick him out of all the listings. My neighbor, who was a widow with no family, needed papers from Germany certified. I made an appointment and everything was done within a day. Little did I know, that less than a year later, my neighbor would end up in a nursing home, because, she could no longer walk. Since I was asked by her, a few years earlier, to be her Power of Attorney, I immediately called Ely to help me start the long process of “getting everything in order.” Ely explained the entire process of what to do to make sure her funds paid for her care at the facility. He started all the paperwork for her to be able to remain there comfortably, for the rest of her life. This included selling her house, car, and other assets. He was very knowledgeable with all aspects of Medicare and Medicaid. His Secretary, Josephine, was always on top of everything, and helped me tremendously with acquiring all the needed materials and keeping me updated. I highly recommend Ely Laniado for anyone dealing with elder care issues.

I have used Mr. Laniado's services for many different reasons over the years, including an irrevocable trust, life insurance, all will related items, and help with my mother’s estate planning and Medicaid issues before she passed away. Mr. Laniado and his staff are nothing short of courteous and knowledgeable. I felt completely comfortable with all his suggestions on some very sensitive subjects. His assistant Josephine is always on top of things and has the most amazing follow through. Whenever I need advice for something, I always ask Mr. Laniado, and if he doesn’t have an immediate answer, he will research it and call me back. His firm provides a small, one on one experience where you will not be lost in the crowd, and his expertise is unrivaled. Mr. Laniado knows what’s his doing, and I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

I was appointed Executrix for a friend’s estate which was quite complicated as the wife passed and not even a month later her husband passed. There was property involved with three beneficiaries (two minors) as well as securities.
The first person who came to mind was Ely Laniado, Esq. The reason why, is when I worked at a bank, I witnessed him helping many of my clients. He was very knowledgeable and empathetic to these clients whether they were his current clients or clients that he helped in the past. I made the right choice. He was very thorough and knowledgeable of eldercare, estates, probate, trusts and tax laws. He made the process for me seamless. Since then, I have used Mr. Laniado for my own Will, Power of Attorney, and Health Care Directive. I have recommended him to family members, and highly recommend him for all of your business and family needs.
