I have called Elk & Elk in the past, & my case was not a good fit, which I understood. I recently called again about my husband who was improperly tested and treated twice, by two different oncologists at two different facilities. When I called the intake coordinator at Elk & Elk, she was rude, and said "This is not a case we would take. Do you even know what the survivability rate is for stage 4 lung cancer?" Of course we know. What a thing to say to the wife of someone with stage 4 lung cancer. As if, oh well, his survivability chances are not great, so we won't waste our time. Well, then it is a possible wrongful death lawsuit. Thankfully there are more empathetic, caring firms out there whose coordinators are properly trained to deal with grave illnesses, the people and their caregivers trying to cope with them, and who can see the errors could have been fatal, or still could be, but they were egregious errors, nonetheless. A blast in the face reminding us of how fragile he is, especially after the standard of care was deviated from not once but twice was not at all what we needed. I posted a more detailed review on their Facebook page due to character limitations here on this platform. They may be a great law firm for a lot of folks, but the manner in which we were treated when we called about his case was ruthless and did nothing except raise anxiety and fears already present.

I’m very happy with my experience with Elk & Elk. I sought their services to help me appeal my disability claim after it was denied. I lost my job due to a disability and signed up for social security disability. I was denied 3 times for various reasons. I called Elk & Elk to get their help. I was given attorney Martin Kraft to take my case. Mr. Kraft walked me through the process and answered all my questions. Mr. Kraft was always professional and available anytime. The process did take some time but once we received our court date things went quickly. When we went to court Mr. Kraft was beside me the whole time, guiding me through all the questions. Within a month we received the judge's ruling with an approval for disability. Within 30 days after the ruling I received my back pay from Social Security and they set up my monthly benefits. I could've have asked for better service from Elk & Elk. I highly recommend Elk & Elk and Martin Kraft. They are personable, professional, efficient and easy to work with.
