Hired an attorney from this office once. We literally had a recording of the DA cohorting to lie about probable cause & the belief that the witness had any evidence, & how another defense attorney is protecting them by pretending to "do his due diligence", therefore letting the investigation continue, even though he had threatened them with a lawsuit. In essence, we heard 1st hand admission of them cohorting to witness tamper with the witness. This law office attorney could have cared less.
The attorney from this law office totally ignored that, even though this could have gotten the case dismissed during a Motion to Suppress.
After that major display of ineffectiveness, as he has an ethical obligation to report prosecutorial misconduct of any form, he was extra rude compared to what he was before. He would practically yell at me through gritted teeth, offered plea deals to the DA that wasn't discussed with me, would ignore my concerns & actual evidence of my innocence, & tried his damndest to railroad me into taking a plea deal. He even yelled at me that I should just take the plea deal because I was stupid enough to have done the right thing coming forward as a witness. I made sure to keep a contemporary record of all this. He costed me $2,500 more than what he quoted & still accomplished nothing but wasting my chance at a Motion to Suppress.
Before I even hired him, I asked if there was any ties with Cascade County, to which he replied "No". Later he told me they contract with the Cascade County Public Pretender's Office. If I'd have known that I never would have hired them & I feel like that was a lie from the beginning.
In my opinion, never trust a private attorney who contracts with the Public Pretenders Office. In no way will you get a fair trial & they will do one less thing than what they should have, screwing up your case.
If you're innocent, find an attorney who cares that you're innocent & isn't just looking for a quick $15,000 out of your pocket.
