These guys send threatening mail which is an interesting tactic considering you’d want people to trust you’re real so that they will happily pay their bills, but also the do love to gaslight you as well. Quality customer service isn’t a thing with this company, even the supervisors are aggressive. Hard to trust that you aren’t trying to just scam people out of money when I called the business you said I had a debt with and that business said I didn’t have debt with them? A Little odd. Anytime that business sends something to collections they might write off the amount but they always make notes just in case the person calls to pay their bills.

My experience has been quite pleasant. Mr. Carter was very helpful and understanding about my situation. I had a debt that needed taken care of, plain and simple. These guys are just doing their jobs. With Mr. Carter’s help, I was able to pay off my debt in full. Thank you!!

Just got off the phone with them to set up a payment plan of 100$ a month because I have personal things going on and my case worker who is extremely rude said that I can't do that per their office policy. Would not send me information on their office policy for payments. Tried telling me that she has called me daily but she never did. I have maybe 2 missed calls while I was at work. And when I asked how much a monthly payment would be she said almost 700$ a month! I can't afford that. Told me that I would need to send them my PAYSTUBS to them so they can determine how much I can pay a month. So instead of trying to work with me. They are just going to send me to their legal department so they can garnish wages instead of working out a reasonable payment plan. I've worked with them in the past and never had a problem setting up a payment plan with a low payment.

I've now received two calls from Brian at Credit Associates, simply stating that he works for Credit Associates. He has given no identifying information, or to the nature of his call. If this is truly an attempt to collect a debt, then this is a violation of the FDCPA.

It's worth noting that when I have seen this number in my missed call log, it is displaying as Spam.

They have been trying to get me to pay bills I do not owe because they were PAID! I've been asking for 2yrs for dated itemized bills and they have yet to send me anything but they keep sending me letters threatening lawsuits. Then they will start calling family members trying to collect from them! They do not care!

Edit, ZERO stars for "Mr carter" who went out of his was to be unhelpful after I paid a bill that wasn't mine. He was rude, dismissive and said nothing could be done. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he said they couldn't help me. Got on the phone with Tammy who took care of me immediately. 5 stars for her, zero for him!

With the excpetion of of the lady i spoke with i think she's a receptionist these people are rude they call from random numbers and are surprised people don't answer their phone oh and they never leave a voicemail even though if they are going to continue to call they are required by law to address themsleves but they don't. None of the letters or anything mentions making payments online and had I known about that it would have been paid off timely. Paying online is easy but it doesn't just let you pay whatever it requires a minimum payment which honestly is kind of ridiculous and they should accept any amounts given at least that shows an attempt to pay off the balance. Bottom line they care about money that is it yes i know they are debt collectors and its their job but honestly putting restrictions on how people pay and how much they can pay is ridiculous.

I’ve been going rounds with these guys! They’ve called my place of work bothering me. I offered to make small payments & they refused to take them. Then I started making larger payments. I’ve been consistently making payments & they keep sending me threatening letters saying that I need to make a payment or they will take legal action even though I’ve been making payments every month. & even if I make payments that’s less than $100.00 they tell me that’s not what I agreed to & that I need to make a larger payment. Last time I checked I didn’t sign ANYTHING! Really poor customer service.
