This was my first experience of getting a new vehicle that was a lemon. Guess I've been lucky, don't wish it on anyone as it was such a terrible experience.

Looked at a lot of Yelp reviews, but Debbie stood out and my gut told me to reach out even though she was based in San Diego when I live in the Bay Area and purchased the vehicle in Colma, CA.

The distance immediately became a non-issue when I received an extremely timely response after providing high level details to the office receptionist. Debbie honestly represented the strength of the case, legal procedure that would follow and next steps.

Debbie's efficiency and knowledge was beyond stellar. She was prompt and was always my advocate, whether it be her filing the complaint and subsequent lemon law legal proceeding documentation with the Court, mediation negotiations, settlement agreement revisions, receipt and distribution of settlement funds and/or driving final closure of the buy back.

Debbie's was prepared and anticipated the Mfgs Law Firm tactics and incompetency, she confronted their efforts to do everything possible to create constant problems and delays, their efforts to push ambiguity of Settlement Agreement terms and conditions, their repeated failures in meeting contractual obligations and their horrific communications by dancing around the matter raised or lack response to calls/emails.

From start to finish, Debbie took care of EVERYTHING with minimal effort required from me, without any pocket costs expense contributions and a settlement better than ever expected.

So if you have a new vehicle that is a lemon, don't be intimated by a Dealer or Mfg telling you otherwise nor wasting months with their repair attempts.

You can turn your lemon into lemonade just as Debbie did for me!

I am so glad my case was taken care of by Debbie and her associates! If you are waiting for your sign to proceed with this group, then this is it. Do it!

Two years ago, I purchased a Ford Fusion 2019 SEL from a Ford dealer. At 20K miles, there were several misfires happening with the short block and coolant leaking into the cylinders. After getting it fixed by Ford Service, my car did not perform as effectively as it did before. The amount of gas the car was burning weekly was insane! There were also interruptions that happened in the transmission. However, Ford Service could not source the problems I was talking about, and they claimed that the car was performing as it should.

I was highly unhappy and worried that I would be stuck with a faulty car, so I contacted Debbie in January 2022 for a consultation, via her website.

Right away, Debbie requested the information she needed and gave me a detailed layout of how things looked according to my case with two different lawsuit options. After providing more details of my situation, Debbie demonstrated genuine care for my case and was kind enough to direct me to another firm that works the Lemon Law and fraud cases.

So, I contacted the other firm, but let me say- they were not as organized and thorough as Debbie was with me. It was hard to reach the attorneys and even the receptionists were a bit rude. Although that firm had a great reputation with winning cases, I did not get the same sense of trust from them, as I did with Debbie. Plus, my case was not strong enough for fraud.

Therefore, I decided to work with Debbie for my Lemon Law case because even though the other firm also worked with the Lemon Law, Debbie's work had been transparent and of high quality since the very beginning. It gave me a sense of trust in the expertise of this firm.

Once Debbie received my retainer agreement, it was on! It took less than 4 weeks for Ford Motor's attorney to work out a settlement with Debbie and her firm, and Debbie even managed to have some fees waived that I was going to have to pay back to Ford, due to negative equity in my car loan. And we are talking about a few thousands! On top of that, Debbie also waived some fees that were rightfully hers, to make sure that I would be happy with my settlement. Truly a blessing!!

And indeed, I am very happy! I could not have done any of this by myself- AT ALL. Debbie and her associates take on all the work, the arbitration, and the headaches, so that the clients don't have to. Debbie also keeps constant communication with the clients with updates and responds within 48 hours to any emails or calls, too. The contracts are easy to understand, and the firm is willing to answer any questions you may have.

At this moment, we are on the final steps of my settlement, and Debbie is making sure things move forward properly.

Please note, Debbie's firm and I are in different parts of California, and this whole process was communicated through email. Not once did I have to drive 2 hours to meet with Debbie for my case. I was able to provide info electronically, and I only had to send the signed settlement copies via mail once.

Overall, my case took 3 months. Within that time, I was emailing Debbie, taking my car back and forth to the dealer's service department, and then, just waiting once the lawsuit was filed until all parties reached a settlement.

If that is not the most convenient lawsuit and settlement, then I don't know what is.

Debbie and Associates- thank you so much for all you have done! God bless you all 🙂

Debbie was excellent in getting my buyback completed. She was extremely prompt every time I contacted her in getting back to me. The information she provided along the way was thorough and clear.
Debbie was very professional the entire process that the car manufacturer kept trying to delay and extend.

In February 2017 we finally came to the end of our patience with Ford Motor Company and the dealer we purchased our 2014 Ford Focus from. The car had transmission problems within two weeks of driving it off the lot. It jerked, lugged, made grinding noises, and other problems that were truly disturbing and caused us concern to even drive the vehicle. We made numerous visits to the dealer for multiple software adjustments, clutch and module replacements, and band aid attempts to fix the problem. The dealer repeatedly told us that there was nothing else they could do because Ford claimed the transmission was operating as intended. We’ve owned over 30 automobiles and have never had any issues close to those we experienced.

We went online in search of a reputable attorney to assist us. Fortunately, we live in California which has an excellent Lemon Law. Debbie Horowitz had an extensive library of positive reviews and just reading through them we knew that we had found the right person to represent us. Within 24 hours of sending her an email we received a response. She quickly outlined what we could expect, the road blocks we may incur, what she needed to get started and an expectation of how long it would take. The next day we sent her the history of our frustrations and she immediately started on our case. We were amazed at how quickly everything went. She had prepared us that at the outside it could take six months or be denied. She felt we had an excellent case and she was right. Within just over a month we had an agreement with Ford Motor Company. Unfortunately, the employee at Ford that was assigned to our file died, which caused a delay of several weeks in us receiving our settlement.

Through the entire process Debbie kept us informed of the progress and was so very patient with us. We never had to meet with her, her frequent emails were enough for us to know we were in good hands. We were supposed to be reimbursed by Ford for the car payments we made between the date of the signing of the agreement and the settlement date. Instead of Ford Motor Credit sending us the overpayment they returned it to Ford. Debbie is once again at work to get our money back from these crooks.

If you are fed up with your lemon, contact Debbie, you will wish you had done it earlier – we sure did.

Thank you Debbie!

Debbie and her team did the un thinkable for my car situation and I. As a owner of a Ford Fiesta for four years & problems starting day 1 with the car,I was given a full refund of my vehicle! I had over 6 Services on the transmission recall before I reached out to the lemon law layers. Within 4 months I am free of my awful Fiesta nightmare! I would never have gotten this settlement if it wasn’t for Debbie and her team. She is extremely responsive almost in a matter of minutes every time I contacted her, and is very details in explaining the actions to take.
Would refer her to anyone with any types of reaccuring lemon law situations.
Thanks again Debbie !

Pursuing an action like the Lemon Law is probably not something you ever plan on doing. However, if you find yourself with a defective car the dealer and manufacturer can't correct, then it is thankfully an option in California. Debbie Horowitz did an outstanding job of confirming I had a case and then handling it to completion. She kept me aware of what would be happening at each step and how much time it would take to complete each legal process. All I had to do was provide her with the necessary documentation, I did not have to get involved with the manufacturer. I would also note that I was able to provide her all the documentation with emails using scans. In the end she negotiated a settlement which was better than I expected and as she indicated, the manufacturer paid all of her fees as well. I can't say enough regarding how good a job she did and how easy she is to work with. Thanks again Debbie, very much appreciated.

After taking my 2014 Focus in for transmission work for the 3rd time within a year, and still having the same issues while being told its working as intended, I found out about the lawsuits and my fiancee pushed me to try for a Lemon Law. I gave California Lemon Law Group a call and was told it sounded like I had a good case and had me email Debbie the information about the car (purchase contract, service history, etc). I promptly heard back that she would take the case and from there it was an excellent experience. Other than faxing a couple pieces of paper every now and then I never had to lift a finger to have this taken care of. She kept me updated on the case the whole time and had me a full refund(with the other side covering legal fees) far ahead of the estimated time table. She was also available right away to take a phone call just to make sure all the final paperwork checked out while I was turning in the car.

The whole experience was as stress free and painless as it can be to find out your car's transmission is unsafe, and intentionally designed poorly.

Debbie was absolutely amazing. I never thought I would have to hire a lemon law lawyer. In fact I always laughed when I seen the billboards.
Debbie is the most professional person I met. She handled the buy back of my car very smoothly. Any questions I had (there where many) where answered promptly.
I could not be more happy that I found Debbie.
Thank you.
