The worst firm I have ever dealt with. My family was doing some estate planning with them, so I switch over to Bowen/Wasatch in the hope that they would be able to guide me in the right direction with my new business. After they changed the structure of my company and got my check for the work, I was pretty much ignored and left to figure everything out on my own. My questions via email would go unanswered for weeks. During my year with them I was passed around to 5 different accountants. No one seemed to know what was going on with my company, probably because I didn't have a set person handling my information.

I was looking for guidance to make sure I was on track with all my business needs throughout the year. I received nothing. I was misled and ignored as a client. I missed estimated tax payments throughout the year because no one informed me I should be making them. I was asking for my payroll tax to be done for months, and it was never set up. I hired them to clean up my books, they only completed about half of the job yet I received an invoice in the mail for the full amount. What kind of company bills for a job that is not done? The final straw was that at the end of the year I had to remind them that I needed my 1099's filed for the year. They responded with "what 1099's"?

As a small business I expect my accountant to come to me when things are due and paperwork needs to be filed not the other way around. I shouldn't be reminding my accountant of paperwork deadlines. These people are grossly incompetent and time consuming. Don't waste your time, now I have to hire a new accountant to clean up their mess.

I have known the Bowen family for a number of years and have found them all to be both individually and collectively people of admirable character both in their professional and private lives. Additionally, they are a friendly and happy group to mingle with both professionally and socially. When my wife of 58 years passed away in 2015 and I decided to re-marry in 2017, I needed a new will and pre-nuptional agreement prepared. Trav and associates did this for me in a very professional manner including several documents that I had not thought of myself. When it came tax time, I was pleased to find that they also offered that service and being that our joint incomes were now more complicated than ever before, I really needed professionals to assist with that. I have used their service for the past two years and have been happy with their work. I have been more than pleased with the end product that was carefully structured so that even me as a novice could understand what they had done and what was required for me to complete my filings for both Federal and State returns. They made it "easy"! I plan to use their services as long as we need them.

I did not have a good experience with this firm. What I will say is that I spent tens of thousands of dollars with this firm re structuring business entities and updating my personal estate plan. I dealt with Travis Bowen and ultimately terminated his services after about a year and a half once i realized that the detail and thoroughness of their work was not acceptable. They did not perform to what they had originally represented. Very disappointed, I would not recommend.

The worst experience ever. The reason people warn you not to involve lawyers is what we learned from working with this awful law firm. I contacted this office to help with a $4,000 tax levy. After long conversations (which I thought at the time was funny but tried trusting our attorney) and bill after bill received, I finally had to contact the IRS myself and get the job done. They claimed the majority of our charges were from conversations with the IRS. Except I did the job in ONE conversation. It didn't pan out. I was floored when I saw I was being charged $2300!! Out of fear of hurting our credit I paid the bill. $2300 to get back $4000! Then to our horrible surprise we received ANOTHER bill for over $2000!! We tried contacting the office multiple times to tell them this didn't make any sense.. After multiple conversations and a few emails back and forth we were told by the office manager that they would be getting back to us. She never did. Instead we found the account in collections!!!

To recap: we were charged $4,300 to save $4,000 and do a job we had to finish ourselves and left with damaged credit! These are bad people! Do not get involved with them!!!!! I wish I could put 0 stars!

It has been not only a successful experience but fun learning from such a experienced professional. Worst attorney I have ever come across. And I’ve met a lot. I should have done more research before going to him. He’s been disciplined by the bar and we are in the process of submitted a complaint. Do more research and if you’re a client, review your bill carefully.
