I found Matt's youtube page discussing bankruptcy/credit consoling so I called the office to see about the free credit card debt consultation service that was offered.

I spoke with 2 ladies, who both asked me about the student loans I had. I informed them that I have 1 Federal loan account that's in IBR, and I didn't want to talk to Matt about that. They insisted that a meeting with Matt would cost $169 because I have loans (that I didn't want or need to discuss.)

This seems like a scam to me, so I cancelled my appointment and would really suggest that you ask as many questions as possible before giving them any payment info.

Matt Berkus cares. I find that rare in an attorney. Others just see dollar signs instead of my eyes. If it was just that, I could hire a shrink or see a pastor.
