My sibling highly recommended Jeff to update my will and living trust, and Anastasi & Nielsen did not disappoint. I've worked with many attorneys in the past and some outwardly displayed an ambivalence or even disdain for their profession - not Jeff. It's obvious that Jeff is passionate about what he does and the families that he helps by making himself so available. His office will not try to "nickel and dime" you for small expenses like notary or minor legal advice outside the scope of your current estate planning. I would describe Jeff as knowledgeable, articulate, caring and easy to work with.

Jeff Nielsen was a great help to me and my siblings after our mother passed, just five years after the passing of my father. We actually had switched our estate planning attorney to Anastasi and Nielsen. My parents had chosen the previous attorney through one of those big, free presentations that are held at hotel banquet halls some twenty or so years before their passing. After my mother’s passing we found Jeff’s father’s name in her legal documents which detailed a brief and complimentary discussion they had regarding a matter of our family’s trusts and I had remembered that my mother spoke fondly of her dealing with the senior Nielsen. I was appointed executor of the trusts and my siblings and I did not feel so comfortable with the original attorney, so we gave Anastasi and Nielsen a call. Right away, just days after my mother’s passing, while in the height of grief, Jeff and his father helped my family feel much more calm and reassured of the process of dealing with our trusts and estate. After our initial consultation, we were certain that we had wanted to change attorneys to Jeff and his firm.

Throughout the process, Jeff was helpful and immediately prepared with various contacts and resources to usher the steps of executing our family’s estate (for example, a house appraisal and an accountant specializing in estate tax matters, both of whom were also very helpful). Jeff was also patient while explaining the legal steps of our trusts while also being reasonably efficient with the time that was needed to get things done. I worked for many years at a law firm and knew how legal fees could add up, so I, as a fiduciary of the trust, was especially sensitive to making the best and most efficient use of our billed time and I can gladly say that Jeff was able to work well with my concerns. I can also say that Anastasi and Nielsen were very reasonable and fair with their rates compared to the prior and other attorneys we had checked; not only this, but in the months that it took to execute the estate, Jeff and his firm were very reasonable in how we handled our monthly legal fees before the final liquidation of the estate. It is a stressful time due to grief, it can also be a very anxiety ridden process in dealing with creditors, banks and other financial obligations when money is tight before the final estate liquidation. Jeff and his firm were quite reasonable with us while working through this process and helped us make absolutely certain we had covered all obligations legally, yet with our family and the estate’s interest at the forefront. I can happily recommend Jeff and Anastasi and Nielsen solely on their ability to navigate the legal process of dealing with our trusts and estate, but, perhaps more importantly, I can also enthusiastically endorse them for their warmhearted and caring way they helped us through the process.

Hoorendous Experience -- Bad Customer Service..I did a Living Trust with Attorney Jeffrey Nielsen, such a bad customer service, he said somebody can record my properties under the Trust with my signed documents saved in my locker after my death. When I asked him to record the assets because I don't want to take a chance , he did not, he did not even pick up the phone after several calls. First he said he will record and to drop off the documents, then after that he did not pick up the phone to give me a time to drop off the document, later he retracted from his promise, he said I won't address any of you concern, go to another attorney, neither he refunded my 1100 dollar fee. His customer service is sooo bad, he does not want to address the issues after he took the fee. He is rude.
