Absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with! We had a claim that they drug out for a year and when we wouldn't renew with them they also refused to fix the item that we have waited a year for them to get parts for. They closed the claim and would not honor it. We waited a year calling once a week for status updates. I believe this is the way they conduct business and not have to pay to fix your stuff. Truly the worst company I have ever had contact with.

DO NOT GET SCAMMED! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!Horrible horrible horrible!! They keep raising my monthly premiums twice now in the last few months! I now pay almost $100/month. Plus $100 for any service calls so they say. My water heater went out. I called them and after almost $1000 out of pocket plus the service fee I had it replaced. Then 5 months later guess what no hot water! 5 MONTHS!! I called them back and was told I'm sorry we can't help you the benefit was already used and won't be back for a few years!!! Now I am out $1000 and again have no hot water and they won't do crap about it! Worst company ever!!! I will be canceling.

They sent a company to check our HVAC Unit. The company said they would submit the report the next morning. It’s been 2 weeks since and every time we call American Home Shield they advise they haven’t received the report and they can’t do anything. We ask if they can send a different company and they say no. We’ve been reaching more than 100 so we’re in a horrible situation. They just keep blaming the HVAC company, don’t take take any responsibility or give other solutions.

Please DONOT buy it. Its a legal scam. They will make sure you cry everyday for months and still pay $2000 (after annual membership fees) for something that either can't be repaired or can be repaired in $100. They are partnered with another company SEARS home, which do not have any office. Sears charge $125 per visit even after insurance but will never fix anything on day-1. on Visit-2, they will order some parts which will take months to appear and they will do visit-3 and charge you more. I am surprised how they are allowed to work despite thousand of BBB complaints.

Terrible customer service. You’ll wait days after calling and they’ve done nothing on behalf of your request. You have to pester them constantly to get anything done. I’ll call, the contractor will call and they won’t respond for days. The coverage is no better than any other home warranty. They won’t fix a problem, they’ll just cover a bandaid fix and you’ll pay $125 for nothing.

Shame on this company!! i called and tbere was a long wiat and was forced to leave a message an NEVER got a call back! This company does Not care about their customers! I will be contacting the BBB and let them know about my complaint and all the others and i Strongly recommend you do the same so that NO other person has to go trough this Hell!!!!!

We called to have our garage electric to be serviced. It took two months before the first person came out; said he couldn't do the work because he didn't know what to do. Two months later (after several calls) another person came out to my house unannounced & said it was our fault we didn't know he was coming. Now to our septic tank. We called & requested that it be pumped. Two different people were sent out, both in pickup trucks, saying they were each told that we requested our tank to be snaked instead of pumped.

In all instances, I called American Home Shield, told them exactly what I wanted & needed, and the people that were sent out did not and were unable to do the job I requested. It has been exteremely difficult to get two seemingly somewhat simple services done, and to date, no work has been done and I've spent MONTHS trying to get them done. I spent hours on the phone today trying to get this taken care of, yet again.

All I received from the initial service representative and the initial supervisor I spoke to, was arguments about how I was wrong, didn't know what I was talking about, and how their records show that I have only ever called twice in the last year. I am very unhappy with this company.

Change it. They have not contacted me for 3 weeks about an estimate. Paid the $100 then no answer. Website info on work order not updated. They profit off of charging you the $100 estimate. Never bother to call back.
