Christine James was my ex-wife's attorney in our very messy divorce filed by my ex-wife. This divorce did not need attorneys. It could have been handled in a very short amount of time. We had no children together, did not own a home or business together. On the day my ex-wife filed, July 1st, 2021, Ms. James office called me, and told me I could go to the house and get my belongings. I told her office I would be there at noon the same day, they told me they would relay this message to my ex-wife. When I arrived at my home with a Sheriff Deputy, my ex-wife was angry and shouted at me that Ms. James had not told her I was arriving. Then, I was never formally served with divorce papers until 3 weeks later, because Ms. James never (or forgot) to serve me properly. I was dragged through the mud for 10 months. I was falsely accused of domestic violence and abuse, without any proof or evidence. My ex-wife filed a false, emergency exparte exclusive use of the home order that was immediately denied by the judge because my ex wife did not file a DV report, because again, no proof and no evidence. Ms. James blindly went along with my ex-wife, not realizing that in the state of California, a DV report must be filed with the court before an Exparte emergency order is even considered. My ex-wife even stated in her declaration that she had no intention of filing a DV report against me, so you would think that an attorney familiar with the state laws regarding this, would know not to file the exparte order, but Ms. James went for it anyway. In our temporary spousal support hearing in September of 2021, Ms. James asked for $1200.00 per month from me, at my ex-wife's demand, stating that her client would be "homeless" otherwise. My ex-wife was awarded less than half. Later through discovery, as I was being falsely accused of hiding income, it was discovered, through actual proof, my ex-wife was the one hiding additional income which she did not disclose in our support hearing. Also, before our spousal support hearing started, Ms. James was speaking to my attorney in the hallway, 3 feet away from me, in a very loud voice. Not professional at all. All of Ms. James inexperience helped us a great deal. In October of 2021, I was forced to "legally" repossess my 2011 Chevy Tahoe from my ex-wife after multiple attempts of email and phone call communication with Ms. James and her office, with no response. We tried to rectify the situation peacefully, to no avail. My ex-wife had parked the "garage princess" Tahoe outside, took the license plates off, emptied the take of gas, cleaned out her personal belongings, and still refused to give it back to me. We were told one time that Ms. James had been out of the country, so we gave them one more week to respond, once Ms. James returned. Still, no response. So I went and "legally" towed my Tahoe and repossessed it. It was soon after this that my ex-wife was now representing herself and had either "dropped" Ms. James, or Ms. James fired her. This could be due to the fact that my ex-wife lied in open court and hid her additional income, I do not know. In retaliation of me repossessing my Tahoe, my ex-wife filed a bogus, false, domestic violence restraining order against me. The temporary order was denied, and at the hearing the filing was denied. The judge actually lectured my ex-wife. Soon after I repossessed my Tahoe, is when Ms. James no longer represented my ex wife. My ex-wife is a narcissist. I have written a book about my life, marriage and divorce to my ex-wife. It is titled, Goodbye Tammy, Third Time Was Not A Charm, Surviving Narcissistic Abuse, under the pen name Teddy Bowers. I have also been interviewed on a few narcissism podcasts, YouTube, and I will be featured in an upcoming HBO Documentary called, Empathy Not Included, coming out later this year.
