We tried to get a lock to hook up with ADT. ADT (Felix)said they would send a tech out to do it and waive the fee if we bought it with them. We are victims of them saying this before and the fee never waived. We questioned the waiver and asked it to be in contract, once we did that Felix blind transferred us. We ended up buying a lock but could not set up on our own. We called for help and told we needed a virtual rep to help. Set our appointment for 2-230. At 235 someone called and hung up. We called in asking who called and they said it was our tech and they would have to set up another appointment for 430, nobody called, at 5 we called and they said we were still in que and would have to wait. At 6 called again and they transferred me to virtual and the message said they were closed and to call normal business hours. I called again and Michael (the guy that just transferred me) hung up on me when I said it was closed. We called again and the lady said we were in que still, I said I was just transferred and it said they were closed. I asked her to call and called the tech center and found out it was closed! We were waiting hours for nothing. She set the appointment for noon the next day we waited and no call. I called asking for a supervisor (Pamela walker) after I explained everything that has happened and I wanted to cancel contract without penalty the first thing she said was “your contract stands” not a sorry I can’t believe our reps are so rude, nothing! I asked why nobody has called us today she put me on hold to find out. She came back and said they had availability but they were not calling because we didn’t buy the lock through ADT and would only help us if we bought it through them. I asked why after two days nobody told us that. This company is horrible needs to be investigated they have zero empathy try and trick you into contracts. They said I have been with them three years and under contract till 2027!! If you are thinking of ADT..run…run..run

3 years and half the content actually captured on my DB cameras. Half the comings and goings in our home are not documented, who knows what else these are not recording. Multiple calls in no help just adjust settings and hope for the best. One camera went down and the tech replaced the wrong camera and we have been without cameras for over a week; we have two, not like we have 12 cameras to choose from. Now we are outside of our contract and my rates went up 20 bucks. To top it off, I was charged for the initial repair $60 bucks for the tech to replace the wrong camera, but they wont charge me for him to come correct his mistake. I had someone reach out to me after I complained, and never, ever heard back.... If this was my company, I would be embarrassed at the fact that I promote such quality, and provide such poor service.

Got the new system about a year ago. Nothing but problems. If it’s cold the system crashes, if there’s a power outage, the system has issues. Right now one of the key pads doesn’t work- no idea why- it says something about “pair”. Just out of the blue issues pop up. Sometimes waiting a few days helps as they spontaneously correct. Other times, I call service and they end up sending a tech. The techs fix things but allow that it’s never something that service could walk me through. The techs are nice but every visit is a couple hundred dollars. Ridiculous. Not dependable.

Never had an issue at my business until I got ADT. Since, I have been robbed 3 times in one year, and coincidentally the cameras quit working or went blurry each time. Will be filing complaint with authorities.

The agent lied and falsified our account when we called to cancel. Got billed the full amount a few days later. When I chatted with an agent it was said we accepted a lower rate for 2 months because our contract wasn't over. The original contract was signed December of 2020 and amendment twice. I didn't agree to anything and the person I spoke to said I didn't owe anything and that my account would be closed.
Buyer beware.

Update: Still can't help me. It'll take 3 days to hear back from someone in leadership. I was told they have to go off what's in the notes. Very shady business practice.

Can you stop trying to find a way onto my property to knock on my door? I've already told 3 of your salesman I don't want ADT, yet every week you send more people to my street. If you enter my property when my gate is locked I'm calling the police.

Colorado Springs city ordinance 9.2.111 article 2. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in soliciting on any private or residential property after having been asked to leave, or after having been asked to refrain from soliciting, by the owner or other person lawfully in possession of the property. Displaying a "No Soliciting" sign constitutes a request to refrain from soliciting.

It's actually dangerous to instruct sales reps to still solicit where these signs are posted. Today I nicely told the rep to leave, but there are folks out there who would threaten, or even harm, those who would break the law regarding their posting of a No Solicitation sign. Please stay safe (and leave me alone lol).

If you want to be transferred on the phone to another department over a dozen times without any resolution to whatever problem you are having ADT is a great choice. If you are relocating and being told that your services will be continued in your new home seamlessly you are unfortunately likely being lied to. I have spent several hours on the phone over the last few days and been charged out of pocket over $1,600 dollars to pay off equipment (cameras) which I was told would not be charged in full but would rather be paid as monthly installments after my move was complete. They then took the money out of my account without warning. Even after paying off the equipment the tech showed up at my new address and told me I would have to buy all brand new equipment if I wanted them to install it. My equipment is less than a year old. They also told me ADT doesn’t uninstall the cameras (two screws in the wall) and that I have to do it myself. Well now that I’ve done that it’s considered “out of Warantee” - they say ADT should have uninstalled it (even though they don’t uninstall equipment according to the person in the relocation department the first time) - Unfortunately depending who you talk to you will get mixed answers and most likely never have a resolution. My choices are now to pay $2,000 in full to cancel my contract or an additional $2,400 to have the same cameras as before in addition to being in a contract for $2,000 and several more years. Why as a customer am I being lied to and then double charged for cameras that I already have and already have paid for? While the cameras worked most of the time and it did give me a sense of security I would highly recommend using a different security service.
