This review is by no means personal. The person I worked with was a very good human. Unfortunately, I made the grave mistake of allowing the firm I hired to change from the lawyer thought I was hiring to a different lawyer the same month I chose to work with this law firm.
It was an extremely expensive mistake on my part to trust I was getting a different lawyer at the firm with the same level of experience. It took me over a year to figure out why my case seemed so difficult to her.
I felt that I was representing myself and had more knowledge about certain aspects a lot of the time. I even felt like I was having to fight for myself at the same time as I'm paying crazy amounts of money hoping my lawyer would be doing the fighting on my behalf.
This mistake has cost me A LOT of unnecessary time, a significant amount of money, misinformation, anxiety, and stress due to my lawyers inexperience.
I essentially had to start almost from scratch with my new lawyer because so much was not done correctly, or not done at all.
Learn from my mistake and ask for the lawyers level of experience and if are they actually qualified to take your case. It will save you a lot of time, money, and undue stress.
I would never recommend this firm to anyone. They are just as responsible if not more responsible for giving a brand new lawyer a case that was obviously overwhelming and too much for her level of experience.

When most individuals get married they don’t think about getting a divorce. However, if you’re reading these reviews, you’re considering getting a divorce or in the process of getting one. For me, making the decision to file for divorce after 25 years of marriage was extremely frightening, embarrassing and depressing. To get through this process, you will need the support of your family and friends as well as a professional legal team like Broaden Law. I had the pleasure of having Marisa Nahale, Esq. and Andrea Zamora, Esq. as part of my legal team. Attorney Nahale’s years of experience and confidence helped to reduce some of the anxiety and worries that I experienced going through this process. Attorney Zamora was an empathic individual who often played the role of divorce attorney and therapist. She often encouraged me when I wanted to give up, but also provided me with superior legal advice. My only complaint is that I didn't find Jacob West of Broaden Law sooner during my family court trials and tribulations. He was on his game more than the other side despite me hiring him last minute to handle a tricky situation. He was so well versed in his field and reviewed my case so thoroughly, that he noticed things others hadn't and found case law and noted related statutes the other side hadn't even considered. Further, he has a calm and reasonable demeanor and was very patient with me since my anxiety was out the roof. He also explained things really well which was very refreshing. The combination of his skills and personality were just what I needed after way too many years of trying to eek by pro per or with an occasional inept attorney. Don't kill yourself trying to handle it on your own or hire a useless attorney who will charge you thousands but never make the effort to know your case. Family court is a living nightmare without someone like Jacob representing you, especially if the other side is represented and you aren't (trust me I've been through hell and back). Even if you have to borrow money to pay for him, it will save you money and stress in the end. I understand how much havoc family court can wreak on a person and their health. That's why I spent the time to draft this review. Best wishes to you and your case. It doesn't last forever and I know you'll be okay with someone like Jacob. 🙂
