I would highly recommend Neil Hallinan if you are looking for a responsive and very competent defense attorney. I was recently charged with felony sexual assault over a holiday weekend in San Francisco. Mr. Halinan made himself available and came to my aid. This was a very busy three day holiday weekend and he showed up big time for me. The DA was recommending no bail and the charge carried significant penalties. Mr Halinan was able to obtain bail and then he went to work. Using well thought out and highly professional investigative skills and questioning, Neil got to the bottom of the false accusations. He was thorough, methodical and down right exceptional. Ultimately , using experience and a deep knowledge of the issues and the system, Neil made the DA realize there was no chance of winning this case due to a significant amount exculpatory evidence he had corroborated and put together.

The charges were dismissed in the interest of Justice. No misdemeanor, no jail time, no felony……dismissal. I could not recommend him more highly if you are in need of a criminal defense attorney .

Neil was always willing to take my case to trial if that would have gotten us a better result, but he knew it would likely result in a conviction. So Neil spent a lot of time with me, listening to me about probation conditions that I did not like, and he masterfully negotiated a deal that avoided every condition I wanted to avoid. But most amazingly of all, somehow Neil negotiated to have two pistols returned to me that had been confiscated by the police.
