Very knowledgeable and very dedicated to fighting for my rights as a single father in the Alabama court system. I have retained custody of my children thru NXTSTEP Family Law team of professionals who took my battle to the courthouse and left victorious with custody remaining with myself. I would recommend any persons going thru custody issues and would definitely recommend for any single father trying to achieve custody of their children in the Alabama court system. They should have named the firm Bad news bears being that's the only news jamie stephens ever have or try to get. If u are black I would advise you to get rid of this public attorney that was designed for the system to fail you. It's all a game you have to fight the DA the court appointed which is her and the ex DA judge..good luck cause you're gonna need it

I would not choose any other family law firm.. Kris is great at what she does and you can tell her heart is into getting what is deserved and best for the kids. Great job again and I highly recommend this firm! Also, Hannah the paralegal Is great to work with.. She always makes it very easy to get answers.

I was recommended Kris through a friend. When I met with her she was straight to the point. She had a plan of action and told me exactly what I needed to do. I hired her as my divorce lawyer that day. We battled it out with my ex for about 9 months. Her and her office were always very responsive to my emails and calls. She advised me on what to do and what not to do. She gave me best and worst case scenarios up front. She went up against 3 different lawyers with my ex and we always came out on top. She also went up against a very aggressive judge and we had several judgements in our favor throughout the 9 months. I got full custody of my kids and got to keep my house. (this review is for family law, not criminal law) Nora did a fantastic job with my divorce-related case. She took a no-nonsense, serious approach to my defense. She did excellent research and preparation work. I've encountered many lawyers in this field around Huntsville, and there are *many* duds, so I recommend you do careful research up front. I strongly encourage you to consider hiring Nora, as I will do myself in the future if I ever need her services again.
