I first began working with SCS Safety Health & Security Associates ten years ago to get certified in CPR, AED and Basic First Aid, and have returned five times now (every two years) to get recertified.

SCS offers an excellent program that combines online training modules with hands-on classroom skills. The online component is completed in advance on your schedule and pace.

In person, Stacy presents just the right balance of study, keeping a concise format but always allowing plenty of time for questions from students.

Classroom practice sessions and hands-on skills testing with adult and infant manikins, as well as AED kits, ensure that everyone masters proper technique.

Dividing the course content up into online and in class sections is very helpful for busy schedules, and the questions at the end of each section help with test prep. The hands-on training and skills testing sessions are very well monitored with lots of good tips provided.

At the end of class, tests are taken and cover a wide variety of class content that was thoroughly discussed. A few days later, Stacy emails your certification card along with closing correspondence and you're ready to go.

I have always greatly enjoyed working with Stacy Skinner. She is an excellent instructor, fabulously organized, detail-oriented and communicative.

SCS makes it as easy as possible for you to work the training into your schedule and get it done efficiently and effectively. Stacy has great passion for what she does, and she brings it to every aspect of her class training!

This course is outstanding for anyone interested in learning first aid and for any age group. The online modules move quickly and are clear, with realistic video scenarios. The in person training is also outstanding. Stacy is extremely knowledgeable and explains everything clearly and professionally. The casual atmosphere keeps participants relaxed and engaged. The test is designed to teach as well as assess. Being able to use the manual while testing helps maintain the focus on skills, not “gotchas.” I am a retired nurse who has been out of the field for a while. It was great to see how skills and procedures have evolved and improved.

This is a great course! It's one of the cheaper options, and Stacy was super friendly and personable with a lot of experience. She definitely knew what she was talking about, and I felt waaaay more confident for the rest at the end. She practically walked us through what the online course had taught us, so we were all prepared for the assessment! I'll definitely come back in two years for a recert!
