The two times I have went here my taxes were done incorrectly and was told that we have to pay more than we need to. The first time I was initially told I owed 8k because they doubled my income. In the most recent time my wife and I were told we owed 3k due to health insurance reasons and it was emphasized there was nothing we could do about it. We decided to get a second opinion and we were never given the option of filing a 8962 form which reduced our costs to nothing. The people who work here are indolent and unwilling to help.

This was my second year here because my original tax guy usually fills up pretty fast! I was shocked by the amount I was charged this year, I was out of work for six months because of a medical issue! I had some of the simplest taxes a person could do and was really hoping for as much money as I could get back! I’ll plan on going back to my normal dude or just doing them my own next year! This isn’t a bad review by any means and maybe prices have gone up, I would have liked to know I would have been charged double from last year!

I enjoyed going to them when i lived in cache valley. I started doing their online services when i moved out of state. the first few years went smoothly but the past two years have been the worst customer service- disorganized and lost communication. Last year I got no response whatsoever. This year, I returned a call from an employee completing this years taxes and the desk stated they had no record of me even filing for the year. I gave them my name, the employees name and the number i was given to call. Didn’t hear back until almost 2 weeks later when they literally completed and rushed me through the details on 4/18 so they could meet the deadline. They did not follow up with any communication for my taxes from the previous year (2021) so I went elsewhere. This year (2022) the IRS states they have no record of anything even being submitted. Used to enjoy the convince now it’s not worth the headache, will be looking for a new tax service this upcoming year.

They offer no up front fees and can be deducted from your tax refund but they don’t mention that they charge you extra for doing that. I’ve been going there for years now, and I just found this out this year.
