Where to start with this guy.. Took our 10k REAL quick.. however after that it was next to impossible to get him to return a call or text. He lies in court (oh my office must have not sent the paperwork in time and yet tells you he works alone).. the only way we heard back from him is when we filed a complaint with the bar.. literally ONLY on the basis of him not returning calls. ... well we heard back from him quickly then!! He threatened and attempted to extort my family if we didn't recant the complaint. .. We did hoping that we had come to some kind of resolution.. and yet.. that didn't happen. He told us he stepped away from criminal defense for other cases (Ambulance chaser) and that was a reason why he stopped responding.

I don't know.. yes, he did SOME work for us.. but this person is supposed to be there to help you in your time of need and he just takes advantage of those in his path.

I wish someone had warned us before we worked with him.. he may be great for some (who will have a big pay out) but he did NOT do good by us.

Worst attorney experience I have ever had. He took a retainer , barely did any work, missed hearing dates , was unprepared and didn’t know up from down. I showed up at his office for an over the phone hearing and not only was he not there but he had left on vacation and totally blew off my hearing. Since he barely did any work and did do not what was agreed upon, I asked for the rest of my retainer back. I was told previous to this that I had 3k left as my retainer. He said that was spent. I asked on what since no more work was done after the last bit so magically it got spent I guess. He finally sent over a thrown together bill of the retainer spent. First time I had seen anything billed by him ever or showing where any money had gone. What I believe he does is takes retainers , tells people it will take less , doesn’t do his job and then tells people the retainer is gone. I called him out on it and then he called me names and threatened to sue me. Not only is this winner a wolf in sheep’s clothing, he can easily turn on his client too after not doing his job. I then had to hire a good attorney and spend more money for his short comings. Highly recommend representing yourself rather than him. You’d be better off.

I usually don't give bad ratings because everyone is human. However, working with this guy was so dreadful. Never returned calls. Barely answered questions. Would not return calls, barely fought for my uncle who is still in jail, when people who have done way worse are living their best life. Do yourself a favor and use someone else.

Tyler is an absolute hero. He is such a strong advocate for you and your case. His knowledge and passion for the law are top notch, second to none. I know I have a truly caring, compassionate, and dedicated attorney working for me with Tyler Ayres. 10/10 would recommend (and I do to many).

Tyler is great! I hired him and handed him a mess. I was in the middle of a nasty. Court battle and he was the third lawyer I hired. If I would've come to him in the first place I think it would've been a lot easier to prove my case. InreaI r hope I never need his services again but if I do I will definitely go to him first. If you need a lawyer call Tyler.

Tyler wasn't my main attorney, but the guy he sent to represent me was absolutely worthless! He was completely unmotivated, didn't really make any effort, and wanted me to decide how to approach the defense. He even had me pick the jurors!! In what world would I be more qualified to pick the jurors than him!?!?
The impression I got was he had already decided I was guilty and didn't want to mount his own defense. He wanted me to decide how I should be defended and make all the decisions so he could sleep better at night.. After the trial he quickly ran out to the parking lot and was chatting away, laughing and joking, with the jurors in the parking lot. I mean really He couldn't atleast say bye to me first and maybe talk about the appeal a little?!? I was blown away! I would've been better off with a public defender, NEVER AGAIN!

Btw, this was for a weed charge.

Great law firm. Ayers law specializes in DUI and also Drugs Charges defense. In March 2010 I was Charged with a DUI so completely bogus that the Driver License Division hearing declared that there was no probable cause for the arrest, so I kept my license and got the Admin fee back [but not the almost $300 tow & storage cost (arrested Fri. night, couldn't pay the Admin fee and get a vehicle release until DMV opened Mon.)] But I still had the criminal charge to deal with. In Utah, if you're arrested for anything to do with Drugs, Alcohol, or Sex, no matter how innocent you are you better hire a lawyer. The prosecution will do whatever they can, no matter how sleazy, to get a conviction, and they love people without lawyers. Sure enough, both urine and blood had come back no alcohol, no drugs, but the prosecutor had added an Obstruction Of Justice charge, a felony. Probably to scare me into pleading to the phony misdemeanor DUI. Although a different attorney handled a couple preliminary appearances, Tyler was there for the Driver License Division hearing and the trial. He demanded that the prosecutor explain and justify the Obstruction charge, and when he couldn't that charge was dropped. And the DUI was dismissed because there hadn't been any drugs or alcohol in my system.

He had a flat fee for DUI cases, and given that most of them aren't as cut and dried as mine was, and often involve lab tests, witness statements, etc., his flat fee of $3K was not a lot. Because I'm a disabled vet with a limited fixed income he took my case for $1K down and let me pay the remaining $2K with however much I could afford each month, and didn't even charge me any interest. The final payment will be this Aug. 1, 2016. Not many lawyers will let anyone take 6 years and 5 months to pay off $2K.

My license was never suspended, the DUI and the even more phony Obstruction charge both went out the window, and I was allowed to pay most of the fee as I could. I don't know how any lawyer could have helped more, and I know that most just plain wouldn't have.
