I went to the school to pick up my child from Law ES and there was no one in the office to let me in. But a group of teachers strolled by and saw that I wanted to be let in, but they kept on walking past. According to the admin I spoke to about this said that teachers are not allowed to let anyone in because they do not know the reason why I would be there. I said well why don't they stop to ask then? If Law ES doesn't have it in their budget to have someone at the front office, then why are the lights on and doors left open in the office? Luckily this doesn't happen too often but come on, if a parent is there to pick up their child, how can they say that its not their responsibility or job to help.

This is the WORST school my children have been to in HISD. The administration as well as most of the teachers do NOT care about providing your children with quality education. I never receive any graded assignments, tests or homework to review. I was told that progress reports are only sent home with children who are failing, not on the verge of failing but actually failing. I have requested progress reports regardless of their passing/failing status and never receive them. I email the teachers and most of the time do not get a response, even after copying the principal on the email. Once the report cards are released and I question a grade given in a specific subject, only then am I informed of missing or incomplete assignments. HISD has an online grade book that is only completed about 2-3 days before the report cards are released so it is impossible to track my children's success online as well. This is March and the school STILL does NOT have a functioning LIBRARY!! Are schools in Texas not required to have a library? Regardless of our zoning, my children will NOT return to Law Elementary for the remainder of their elementary school education! I will close by saying that 3 teachers out of the 9 I have met this year are good people and I feel those 3 do care about my children and their academic success, but the rest could care less.

Ghetto school...teachers don't have control of their classrooms. Children are ghetto with no home training. Principal tries to act like she's intelligent and IS NOT!! The lunch and breakfast they provide is a joke. This school is horrible!!!! 85 THUMBS DOWN!!!
