I have used Erick several times over the last few years both with traffic related matters. In both instances the matters were handled professionally and adeptly. 0 convictions, nothing on my record.

Sometimes living and working in small town east texas can present a few challenges when dealing with the occasionally over zealous local constabulary.

It’s really just peace of mind to know that you have someone so capable in your corner. Someone that knows the system and can produce positive results for clients. Not mention cost effective as well.

Magic Man!! 8 years ago my future held nothing but a life sentence. 15-99 years. I’ve always been a high risk, high reward type of guy. Not sure how this guy has such a good review! First impression was he had just come out of an alcoholic binge! Table full of liquor! Decided to give him the Benefit of the doubt because of his reviews only to be extremely disappointed within the first few days. He stopped responding to my text and calls, when he did respond it was so little of information then felt like it was just getting worse instead of better! He was supposed to contact my PO, NEVER DID! I finally told him I wanted my money back the next week, only for him to try to get me in court immediately then have an attitude about me not wanting him to represent me then he kept $2,000 for doing absolutely NOTHING! On top of that it took him 4 days just to have his really nice receptionist write me a check! She was great btw, he sucks! If you need a lawyer DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ERICK PLATTEN! HE WILL DEFINITELY WASTE YOUR TIME!!

If I could give him less than one star I would. First of all he had three months to talk with his client and only did once. He told us one day we didn't have to show up for court and turned out we did. THEN when we tried to go back to court he came in late and looked unprofessional with messy hair and clothes along with he looked like he was drunk the night before. On any paper work he wouldn't get with us on it. He says he has done all this work but then has NOTHING to show for it. The judged legit laughed at him. He has been sorry and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone for a criminal lawyer. Because he won't be there when you need him. His office is also NOT 24 hours. His ladies at the office are hardly ever there and he is hard to get ahold of. The worst lawyer I have ever hired.

I just want to start by saying if you are facing any sort of criminal case in the east Texas area, and feel hopeless like I did you need to give Mr. Erick Platten a call. I found myself in an unfortunate situation in Nacogdoches County where I was charged with class 3 felony stalking in August of 2022. The case dragged on and on with many delays, and my first attorney in Nacogdoches didn’t seem to give me any hope for a positive resolution. The DA in Nacogdoches County first offered me 10 years felony probation with a 10 year suspended prison sentence hanging over me, and stated “there’s no way I am getting off this felony.” I am a registered nurse from Florida, and was traveling in the state of Texas during the height of COVID, so safe to say a felony conviction would have derailed my career and any hopes I had for the future. I was hopeless, and felt I had to make a change so I did some research and came across Mr. Platten online. It changed everything for the better. I knew from the moment I talked to him that things would be different, and he had a way about him that just calmed my nerves a bit. He would respond when I contacted him at all sorts of random hours and weekends, and it showed me that he really does care about his clients. After 2.5 years I finally got a resolution with the DA agreeing to drop the felony stalking charge, and I would plead to class B misdemeanor terroristic threat. It was a home run outcome for me. My career, my goals and all my future aspirations are all still intact thanks to Mr. Platten. Give him a call, you will be glad you did.
