Hallock and Associates is a scam!! I trusted them and now I am in a worse place because of them. I have been paying them on time every month for 2 years $617.24. They settled 1 credit card. However my son’s bank account got garnished for over $10,000 his hard earned money. ( my name was on the account because he was a minor when he opened it) not one penny was mine! I was never notified of any court dates or hearings. Never received any notices. They were going to an attorney that I never talked to before. He never showed up for the hearing to handle this case and I never knew about it. Now I have more garnishments and summons that I have to handle. Hallock and Associates never answer their phones and send the same email back to me to call them. I can go on and on. Do NOT use them. I now have to file bankruptcy just to get out of all this. When before I enrolled with them I wasn’t even behind in my bills. Very Stressed out and my anxiety is through the roof. Horrible people that they can do this to us. Just found out that they have a lawsuit against them!! I want my money back!! You did Not hold up on your part of the agreement!!!

Anyone on here with a good review definetly works for them! Scammers! They failed to complete what was legally promised. Halfway through the debt consolidation after I already paid them 8000$ they all of a sudden can no longer represent me. These people need to be in jail . And us as consumers should be reimbursed since services rendered were not what was promised and legally signed upon. Scam!

Hallock & Associates is The worst Decision I ever made in my Life. I was Paying 800 dollars a Month in the Program and 540 was Going towards Fees. For almost a year I was mis led thinking I was paying 270 a month in fees
Finally a customer service rep told me the Truth I was devastated but I was in too deep to quit the program even though I was told several times you always can get out of the program. No way was I was going to leave the program the Damaged was done. I can go on and on about Hallock & Associates But no Need the Federal government step in and froze all their assets and they are in litigation presently to this Day. I hope the attorney General Make them Payback all the illegal Fees they Received and Put them out of Business for Good. I really didn't want to give them one Star but I Had too or i wouldn't be able to Post my View

They are a scam , we paid almost 500$ a month for 2 years & on December 6th , they sent out a notice that they were filing bankruptcy and couldn't represent us anymore. So where's my 13,ooo ? Time to sue , I think we all need too.

They never could really answer my questions when I had one. If I made multiple payments ahead they never gave information on if that would speed up a settlement but if I skipped or reduced a payment I was told it will push the program back one month. They told me for nearly a year that one of my accounts should be settled by next month. Every time I called they would tell me that and that they are working with the lender. I understand it taking a few months but a whole year not being able to settle seems excessive to me. It seems like no one was taking initiative to close my cases and that they were taking their time to get more money from me. Then I got a email about a lawsuit they were involved in and could no longer settle cases until the lawsuit was over. Also I would be on hold for hours before talking to someone. Most working people cannot be on hold for 3 hours before talking to someone. That’s when I closed my account and found out you can just settle your debt on your own. I am working to get it settled by myself without all the extra fees and run around.

Do not use these people! Been paying $1500 a month for a year now and none of that money has gone towards our debts its all going towards "admin and retainer fees". When I call nobody answers and if I am lucky to get someone after calling multiple times and waiting on hold for almost an hour the lady who answers the phone has a bad attitude right off the bat and refuses to answer my questions and cannot tell me anything about my account. As for the lawyer they supposedly have working on my account when i first started? He called 8 months ago to inform me he is no longer part of H&A and wishes us luck. Now I have 2 lawsuits against me and I submit all the paperwork I get from collectors but they say it's "incomplete information" it leaves me asking "what in the world could be missing when I am sending you every scrap of paper the collectors have sent me?!" Then when I ask when I will get a new lawyer to handle my case the call 100% of the time gets disconnected. They do not return calls or respond to emails and they do not help you settle debt. Please for your sanity and your financial future find another solution, do not use these people.

Just be mindful of these people. I appreciated the help, paid what I had to and was under the impression as far as I can remember that it would be settled by sometime next year. 9 payments in I look further into it and find out that I’ve only been paying $50 of $250 into my settlement. I understand that they have to make money but damn, that’s a little ridiculous. That’s 6 years of paying $250 to settle the case. I do not wish to do that. I also don’t want to pay $200 to them n only $50 for my situation. Gotta call customer service because if I pay the full amount, does that mean that it’s over or do I have to pay twice the settlement. So they can make a profit 😑

Just be careful as to what you sign with them. They’re in it for the money and you’re in it to resolve a situation. Just confirm that your situation is priority not their pockets.

They never answer the phone, been on a debt consolidation program for 3+ years now for 4 accounts that I had with creditors. Only got 1 of the 4 accounts settled, not sure where in the hell my money is going. Do NOT use their services, they seemed great at first but now I can't even get in touch with them and they are defendants in a pending lawsuit.
