We visited in the early spring. So the beach was empty and the lake was still at its low winter level.
But the beach and nearby picnic area was very well maintained.
There is plenty of shade available very close to the beach. So on a hot sunny day, it would be easy to escape into the shade.
There is also a nice playground and restrooms located very close to the beach

Decided to go one evening after work. A lot less people and a little more seagulls, LoL. But the water was nice and the birds entertaining.

Beach is very well maintained and taken care of. Both restroom facilities were clean and stocked.

Beach was clear of sticks and rocks. Great area to launch kayaks and jetski's from.

Lots of picnic tables and grills available. Have to get here early to secure a table. Bring lawn chairs and portable gear if heading here past 10am on a nice weekend.

Very nice place. In my opinion, it is most certainly the nicest FREE place to swim and grill or picnic. The playground is kind of small but it is nice and fills the purpose for young kids. The only thing I don't like is there are a few too many bigger rocks in the sand, so really need to pay attention before putting down a blanket and laying on it. So far, most of the other park visiters seem to be friendly.

Me and my family are having an awsome time out here. So many nice ppl and the weather was on point.. seen many patrols by law enforcement so felt my family was safe. Will have many return visits in the future!!

I enjoyed a beautiful beach day here with my 4 children. I roasted hot dogs on the charcoal grill provided. We swam and played on the shore and at the playground and ball court. Bathrooms are small and well-worn, but still work and even have shower and changing rooms. We needed these since we were an hour from home. We want to bring the dogs and scooters next time to use the paved trail along the lake and golf course. Nice, clear water, too. I'm from FL and this made me feel at home!

Probably one of the nicest lake beaches around. More than enough sand for kids to play, the sand actual goes quite far out into the water unlike other lakes which quickly turns to mud. Decent playground for children as well. Restrooms leave some to be desired.

Considering that we are in Ohio and not in North Carolina, this beach is a great option and a short drive from the Akron area. Lots of things to do, including a swing set, picnicing, the beach itself, boating and wave riding.
