I was fortunate to work with Attorney Jon Allison at FMR. Jon has a razor-sharp legal mind, but he is a human too: he provides excellent, clear, simplified advice and instructions, and he returned ALL of my messages within hours (or sooner). Jon is collaborative and noted everything that I sent him. He never made me feel like I was annoying or that my concerns were trivial. Jon is never cavalier and he is very kind, but he gave “tough love”, realistic pep talks when I needed them. The best way to describe Jon is that he is a brilliant legal mind who coaches with compassion.

Very importantly to all of us “little guys”, the FMR retainer fee and billables are very reasonable. Do NOT fight by yourself, at least consult with Jon Allison so that he can provide a clear roadmap for you to cut thru the mental fog and fear. I contacted Freking Myers & Reul LLC to review my case, simply to determine if it was something they would be willing or able to take on given that my previous lawyer was likely not able to continue representing me. To my surprise, after contact, they completely ghosted me without any explanation. I wasn’t asking for any commitment—just an exploration of the situation—but they weren’t even willing to do that, and they didn’t offer any reason why.

This was one of the poorer experiences I’ve ever had with a law firm. I tried multiple times to follow up via phone and email, but all communication was dropped with no response. It's highly unprofessional to ignore a potential client like this, regardless of how often they reach out.

I would not use this firm or recommend them to anyone, as they might likely treat someone else the same way. This type of service is unacceptable for a law firm, and people deserve better.

I've had generally mediocre experiences with (only a few) attorneys over a lifetime, but George Reul is the exception. I met him briefly, relating to an employment matter. He is methodical and primed. For once I did not detect a lawyer simply chasing the dollar. He is thoughtful, asks the right questions, and gives clear advice.
