Decided to kick my sister and her friend out while a little boy was taking phones and projects and bending it up. Made them leave and even get off of the sidewalk so they had to go Westbrook park to wait for me, when it is absolutely freezing outside today. Big lady with black hair and a blonde chunk in the front and glasses. It’s ok for boys to pick on girls but not when girls stick up for themselves. When I went in I was told “they were wrestling over a phone”.

We love coming to the library and the events they host! However we tried out the Mother goose story time for the first time & I was completely disappointed. It is listed as a 0-2 age group event and my kiddo is 18 months so I figured it would be pretty inclusive for her. My child was expected to stay seated around the circle the entire 45 minutes, and anytime she wandered up to the children’s librarian to see the book/whatever she was holding she would say “go back to your mom” my daughter is friendly and just wanted to
Mingle and was doing so innocently not disturbing anyone or the story time. It is absurd for me that they expect literal babies to sit still and not be interactive. I also got many dirty looks from other moms with children of ages above 2 who brought their kids and were offended by my toddler just being a toddler. Again, she was just smiling at the other kids and happily dancing about not in anyone’s way. Won’t be going back to that story time until changes can be made.

You have to wear a mask but they don't sanitize the computer area after someone has used it so why the mask double standards. Us I had a mask made from double lace so I would be able to still breath the grouchy lady behind the desk said that won't do that it has to be a surgical mask even though the sign doesn't say that . It said a mask and that's what I have used for the last yr and a half my lace and no one ever jumped down my throat about it. She was very rude. Power goes to some peoes head

I love the brookville library! My kids love coming to do the challenges. The staff is very nice and respectable. Some people should monitor their children better while here. The staff shouldn't have to babysit.

The inside is immense, and it's a very new building. There are plenty of computers inside although they can get full at times. They also hold kids events such as LEGO nights and video gaming nights. There is a whole event room that you can actually rent out for things like parties. There are also free group studies, which I've never seen in any other libraries. The kids and teens sections were good, but they just can't handle all the children and problems there are intelligently anymore. The staff don't really pay attention to the little kids and don't care when they're acting like monkeys. The kids area has huge building blocks, magnetic rectangles, trains, LEGOS, and extra computers, while the teen area has a PS4 and an iMac, along with weird magazines no one seem to read.
