These folks did some work for me several years ago and I needed help again recently. The claim they never worked for me before and that I'm not in their system. I asked if it was possible they lost the record and I was met with the lady getting very rude with me and hanging up in me. I will NEVER use this place again and recommend that you don't either. Spend your money somewhere where your attournetly and their office will treat you with respect.

I have had excellent experiences with the attorneys and anyone who has worked with me over at Legal Aid. They have been so helpful & caring with you. You really feel like they're on your side, no judgement, they are quick to respond and get things going. They've helped me resolve very important hurdles in my life. I was referred here after my Exhusband was arrested for DV against me and I was told to call the victim center who got me approved for legal aid. My attorney was a Michael Michaelis. I’ll never forget him. I’ll never forget how he encouraged me to dismiss my restraining order against my ex because he said it’ll just look bad on me during the divorce and custody battle. Even though the emergency - temporary order was approved. Every single thing he advised me to do ended up going in favor of my ex. I had documented, recorded, and everything every single instance of abuse towards me and the kids the last year I was with my ex and Michael said it wasn’t good enough and told me not to even use it in court. He would make insane assumptions every single meeting about me. It’s like he had it worked up in his head that i wasn’t abused so he did everything he could to cause me to lose. My abuser got custody. Less than a year later my only daughter died in his care. Coincidentally I ran into Michael Michaelis a few months after my daughter died. We were at the courthouse. He sees me and laughs to himself then leans over and says something to the attorney with him and they’re all just sitting there smirking. My daughters blood is on your hands Michael. I hope you know that. I hope you and your attorney friends who like to sit in court and laugh and smirk at defendants and other people who are there as if you’re any better then them. Greene county missouri is the worst place to live and even worse place to escape your abuser and go to family court against them.

I don’t think I’ve ever hated anyone the way I hate that attorney, the judge, GAL Kyla Kanable, and Leslie from DCFS. All of you have my daughters blood on your hands. She was only 15 months old when she died in his care and all of you refused to look at any evidence I had proving him to be abusive.

Their staff answering lady is Absolutely useless. Gard to understand her and Doesn't understand what's being said to her . She hung up on me after getting me mentally upset and annoyed

Helped me with my landlord/tenant issue involving HAS properties/HUD when they broke their lease agreement with me by not paying their portion of the rent and my landlord tried to sue me for the backdue rent that HAS properties/HUD owed them. Which was over $2,300 that they were asking for.
