Had scheduled some testing for a potential heart issue, was a bit nervous about what might be found. The staff was friendly and helpful, guiding me through every step. They explained what was to be done and then explained each activity ass we progressed through all the testing. It really set me at ease and made the visit overall a wonderful experience.

My 2 experiences with this hospital have not been great.

They sent my husband’s grandma home saying she was fine even though she kept saying her back hurt. Took her somewhere else and turns out she had a broken back.

My mom had a hip replacement and they discharged her before she was able to even take a few steps. They waited until I wasn’t there to discharge her. They called me and it was already done. If I knew then what I know now, I would’ve pushed back so learn from my mistakes. Better yet, just don’t bring your elderly loved ones here.

I visited Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO yesterday, for an MRI. We have never had a bad experience with this Hospital before. Yesterday was the exception. The staff in radiology were not welcoming at all! Carter, who checked us in, caused us to feel like he looked at us as an unwelcome intrusion in his day. When the MRI began, Sam, the woman operating the MRI machine, displayed not a drop of compassion. Even when I pushed the button, because I was in a lot of pain, and started to cry, she did not respond. Only brought me a cushion to elevate my legs. Said nothing appropriate to the situation.
My husband and I left there feeling very disappointed 😞.

Wonderful employee, Jackie, helped when my mom lost a shoe during a visit to the medical building. Jackie found the shoe and took it to my mom’s doctor’s office and it was there when we arrived for her follow-up visit. My mom was worried and Jackie saved the day. Thank you!

ER nurses and doctors did not listen to my daughter or myself. They gave my 20 year old migraine cocktails and sent her home with...MENEGITIS!!! It could have killed her had we not advocated at another hospital who actually listens to their patients. We told them over and over it wasn't a migraine. Definitely won't be back nor paying the bill for negligence.

I went here back in January for irregular heartbeats. I had not had nay answers for nearly a year and every time I had gone in to the ER before whatever episode I was having was over. In January I had a very rapid and irregular heartbeat which was finally diagnosed at at the ER as AFib with RVR. The nurses and ER Doc were absolutely incredible. I was back in there and hooked up to the monitor and my friends showed up with no issues and I was put on drip to slow my heart rate and pull me out of afib. When I had no response and after a few blood draws they put me on the 5th floor and admitted me. The nurses up there were beyond kind, making all my needs met and answering my thousand questions. when I woke up I was out of afib and Dr. Dimmett came in and was very interested in my questions and was eager to assist with any need I had. I got all my imaging and have been largely afib free since he put me on the medicine he recommended. I hope I never have to but if I do, I would come here for an emergency any time. There was a nurse that did my echocardiogram that was very faithful and we had a wonderful conversation too! Thanks for the great experience yall!

First, I would like to say I have always been happy with the care I have received from Mercy until tonight. I have CIDP which has chronic pain. I had a pain emergency this evening. It took three hours to even get me a bed. Then almost an hour before I even received treatment. Low dose of pain meds (I'm a 9 at this point). So I ask for more help. To which NPR A. BAKER says to me quote," you are LUCKY that I am even giving you a second one. "We dont treat chronic pain." I said chronic pain is the condition, I am in a pain emergency." I have never been treated so rudely in an E.R. including the nurse. l want to add Marie Moore President for Mercy Washington to this and again NPR A.Baker so they can do some training on how Mercy conducts care and the patients in an emergency.

Worst experience ever in a ER I get it they are busy and that but I came in with chest pains and tingling in fingers first triage nurse was very sweet and very helpful. She did explain to me. There was no open beds, but I would get the next open bed and they put me back out in the waiting room. She said if I need anything, let someone know. 2 hours later still sitting in ER waiting room and chest pains getting worse and decided to leave and go to a different ER My son was very upset so I asked to see the charge nurse some man his name was Tim. I think was the supervisor on duty came to us. extremely rude and ignorant, we told him we would like to transfer to a different hospital. He said we could not. We would have to leave the parking lot and call ambulance to go somewhere else. He was not very helpful. He was rude. He was ignorant and he was acting like we were bothering him. Also, when they took my IV out that we had in my arm for the two hours I was in the ER waiting room the gentleman who took it out, threw it in the trashcan. Excuse me that has a needle in it. Why didn’t it go in the sharps container?
