Great library, well organized and comfortable. There is a friends of the library bookstore on the first level. They have lots of great offerings besides books; games, pollinator pathway station, plant cuttings and more.

Wouldn’t know anything about the new library because there’s no parking. A total of 15 spots all taken by staff with no public parking available anywhere relatively close. This is my 3rd time leaving after waiting 20+ minutes. Just absurd. Multiple staff members were outside just staring at myself and others getting stuck between one another trying to turn around.

Wonderful staff and resources! They are always helpful, patient and kind. The library really cares about its community, offering numerous programs and resources for young, old and in-between that foster learning as well as socializing. I love that I can go to the second floor if I need a bit more quiet so that I can get work done that I typically can't at home (distractions). There are copy, print and fax resources available, as well. I really feel my tax dollars are well-spent! A+++

I have been to many other libraries throughout the state and can say that they all have their challenges... sometimes overworked and underpaid shows itself. I have been going to Southington library for well over 15 years, but no less than weekly in the past 13 years. The staff is helpful and pleasant. I went their with my son since he was one/two for reading groups, mommy and me, presentations (puppets) and of course reading. The library has always been clean, warm and welcoming. This is one of my favorite places to be... my husband and I spend a lot of time there and really enjoy it. They also have a used book store (great deals on books) as well as art displays and discounted museum, or activity passes throughout the state.

Great public library! Always been very clean and accommodating. It has a charging station in the parking lot and a very inexpensive book store in the basement, it is not affiliated directly with the libary but still very nice. It has quite an extensive selection of books, movies, video games, manga, and services like a 3d printer, computers and achieve research. Overall it has always been a great part of the community.

Such a wonderful place to get any book you desire. They have COVID-19 covered, you sanitize when you come in and out, and they wear gloves when checking out your items. Definitely the best library in Connecticut by far. In 2022, they have loosened their restrictions, like staff wearing gloves and sanitizer stations, but they still do require masks.
