Had a Court hearing for a traffic violation, originally had hired an Attorney who was very inefficient. Luckily I represented myself, I spoke to the State Attorney, explained everything to him he was very reasonable and a true professional and dismissed my ticket. The Marshal’s were very processional as well. My experience was good overall.

Used to be a decent courthouse where the judges/prosecutors did their best to arrive at some semblance of “justice”. They understood the systemic issues that led to poor and minority folks being targeted by an inherently corrupt system ran by uneducated police officers who are power hungry and trying to compensate for some bodily inadequacy to show off their machoism. Sadly post Covid GA 7 is an utter joke. The prosecutors and public defenders work hand in hand overseen by few old judges who barely read any police reports and just sign arrests warrants like they are signing their checkbook. The officers of the prosecutors office has such a superiority complex and treat folks arrested with utter disregard and contempt. Fyodor Dostoyevsky once said “the degree of civilization of a society can be judged by entering its prisons.” That would make US one of the least civilized countries in the world and our judiciary one of the richest and most corrupt. The whole system at GA 7 is set up to pressure folks into accepting plea deals even if they know you are innocent. They raise so many barriers to ensure you don’t seek trial because than they would have to do actual work. God save our country because I now know that the GA 7 does not care about anything but it’s own financial well being and survival. Attorney General Tong if you are reading this please look into the practices of the prosecutors office. I assure you that the standard has dipped to a new low and make suggestions to improve their processes. To the officers of the courthouse shame on you! Don’t forget one day we will all have to answer for our sins! It’s high time to organize a peaceful protest to bring attention to the shameful practices carried out by officers of court GA 7.

awful place, i mean no kidding right it’s a courthouse but to go in detail I saw a women get away with murder and get treated like an angel with more sympathy given to her than the own victims families, and saw her laughing at them as she walked out. and when one of the family members did speak the courthouse got combative with him probably because they were african american(not really a surprise there considering how racist our justice system is) also saw a SO get treated with more respect than those with traffic violations. people with no perspective seem to run this place if you’re a victim here odds are you will not get the justice you deserve it’s honestly a joke. the public defenders though seem nice and more attentive than others i have seen and sadly had to deal with due to quotas having to be filled.

The cops next door can punch a guy in the face unprovoked and still keep their job. Any non police officer who punches someone in the face will be arrested yet Officer Ganter gets no punishment.

I come to GA 7 court quite often to help my clients get out of lockup. The marshalls are very polite and the clerks are usually very helpful. I do think it's time for them to redo the bathrooms and perhaps fine room for a couple more places for people to sit while waiting for the door to the courtroom to open. Overall though, a decent courthouse.

Awful. The women that are in the clerks office are always so rude and they act like they can't even acknowledge you when you walk through the doors. They will sit behind the window and act busy for about 5 mins before saying " Hi how can I help you" I've been told the wrong information 8 times. Its like no one but the marshalls know whats going on

One of the smaller courts in CT so wait times are not as long. If you have a family or civil matter JD Clerks office is very helpful, informative and friendly. New staff and fresh faces make your experience a lot less painful.

the marshals are kind of full of it, like the bald dude, hes a real head case. and also the spanish / black lady judge is really mean and i think she takes after judge judy, in my opinion this is one of the most negative feeling courthouses in connecticut and to be honest most people are just here for traffic related things. the legal system doesnt inspire a lot of trust or brotherly feelings towards the state government and makes people feel really bad. really unfortunate that in the 21st century we still allow our kids and family to be punished and harmed by other older people.
