I’ve purchased cables on a few occasions from this store and every time it has been a breeze. Once I called in and 2 other times we ordered online and picked up the cables later. They’ve been prompt, accurate, and easy to work with. I’ve never had a problem and they surprisingly have beat out places like Amazon on a few select cables. I may not always buy here, but ShowMeCables will always be a part of the process moving forward.

They helped me get the correct cable when I ordered the wrong type. So that was a great experience and easily navigated. My product was then shipped COD and I was advised to refuse it and have it returned. It lingered for about two weeks while they figured out what to do, as they were not getting any feedback from UPS.

Finally a replacement was sent a month after my order. When this package arrived, it was COD as well. I refused it again and called. I was told they would look into it and get back to me. I have had to keep calling as no one reached out. They now claim the charges are for customs and duties, however the customs office denies this and the BOL lists it as a freight fee.

I have waited around for over a month, without receiving any items. As the boxes have not returned, they cannot send out another for me to forward it to USPS to deliver. A refund has not even been issued to me. Just be forwarded, it is not their fault as they are just middle men who cannot control how items are shipped and UPS does not talk to them since they are not the shipper.

Placed an order with my own Fedex account for delivery. They used it not once but twice to deliver my order back to themselves and when I asked for a full refund, they never did refund me. In my book, that's called stealing !!

My experience with this company is admittedly specific and clearly not general. There are many other stunning reviews, so I'm happy to find myself in the minority.

This organization falsely advertises delivery dates and expresses little sympathy for any expenses you may incur from their falsehoods.

I ordered a server part Friday afternoon and selected 3-day FedEx air (paying more for the shipping than the product itself). I learned on Monday that the product had not been shipped because "there was no one in the warehouse." When I expressed the urgency of my project and inquired into the next best option, they asked that I pay an additional $50 for FedEx next day air. I then requested a refund and took my business elsewhere after finding the same part with next day delivery for a fifth of their price.

I'm sure their products are quality, but they have absolutely no urgency or care to follow through with commitments to delivery dates.

Do not work with this organization if you are on a deadline!

Their representatives are professional and nice but unsympathetic to timely concerns.

Simply cannot deliver products on time. Showmecables despite promising the products would be shipped out the same day simply did not deliver and when I called back the customer service rep had an attitude and did not have the courtesy to apologize and told me I needed to talk to customer service if I needed a refund when he was more than happy to take my call and my order. Will not be dealing with them again.

I've had two excellent experiences with ShowMeCables. Everything that could go right - did! From their cost/quality of the cables to interacting with the customer service rep on-line and over the phone as well as their immediate shipping... was fantastic! I could have driven over to the local bestbuy, etc ship but would have to stand around and wait for someone with limited product knowledge to talk to me. ShowMeCables has my business from now on!

This is a very specific situation, so I cannot attest to the product itself.

Tl;dr: the company asked us to send photocopies (back & front) of our debit card and driver’s license in an unsecured email (after already taking the money from the account), which may help to protect the company from fraudulent purchases but exposes the client to possible fraud and identity theft. Zero security regarding safekeeping information was mentioned.

We ordered cables. ShowMeCables took the money from our account and then refused to ship the product because our account was "flagged as potential fraud". The reason it was flagged was because the billing address and the shipping address were not the same. I have done this with many items with other merchants online before and this has never been an issue.

Apparently a representative sent us an email regarding the purchase. Unfortunately it went to our spam folder, so we did not see it right away. We waited a week and there was nothing. We went searching for the confirmation email and ended up finding the message. The representative stated that we needed to send a front and back photocopy of our card and ID. There was no mention of any security regarding the safeguarding of our personal information. This is a highly unsafe company practice that gave us no sense of security. This practice is ONLY to try and protect the merchant from any fraud. However, this exposes the customer to fraud AND identity theft. Sending a copy of your card is risky, especially in an unsecured email, but it is no new information that you haven't already given the company and as a consumer you are generally protected by fraudulent purchases should your information be compromised. Some companies use software that scrambles the customer's information for safekeeping so employees cannot steal the information, so you are now exposed to employees possibly stealing your information if you send a copy of the card.

However, sending your ID is now releasing information to (who knows how many) people that they are not privy to. And before someone starts with the "it's just your ID", I did not pay to have my license number/expiration date, list a restrictions or endorsements, DOB, full name, photo/description, gender, height/weight, and whether or not I'm a donor released to Joe Blow from Chesterfield, Missouri. They also have nothing that states they won't keep the information or how it is managed. Identity theft is a whole different level of awful, often causing the victims thousands of dollars trying to repair the damage. Fun Fact: Did you know that per the policies in Visa and Mastercard a merchant cannot ask for your ID in face-to-face transactions? It is against the contract the merchant signed with the credit card companies to refuse to complete a transaction if the customer refuses to show ID. Why would I send a hard copy of my ID to a company if I’m protected from quickly showing my ID in an in-person purchase?

As far as I can tell, it is not illegal for them to have this company practice for online purchases. But I do know that I will not support a company that refuses to ship the product and requires that ID information AFTER already taking the money from our checking account. Perhaps I would not be so angry if they only had the order on hold instead of tying up $350 for two weeks.

These guys are awesome. I ordered an Ethernet cable from them for a great price. Unfortunately, USPS never delivered my package.. I let the customer support know, and they promptly sent me another order the next morning, free of charge!

Awesome company.
