Paul helped me back in 2021 to settle a custody case. I fired my previous attorney after she just racked up my bill and did absolutely zero to address the actual concerns related to the case. A friend told me about Paul when I was discussing the issues I was going through with my previous lawyer. I immediately hired Paul after an in-person consultation.
I ended up settling/mediating without having to go to trial as his paralegal Karen is thorough, and actually believed me and re ran background checks that our CFI Julia Olsen (highly do not recommend she is awful) completely botched with incorrect last names. After that information came to light, my ex decided to finally be reasonable and I was awarded the majority of parenting time.
I got the results that were much needed for my son and in his best interest.
My life now is incredible without the extreme stress I had to deal with from my ex and his abusive family.
I thank Paul and Karen for helping me navigate the family law system.
Paul is direct and I think that’s often missing in this field with family law attorneys. He is honest about expectations, and that helped me to agree to a parenting plan that was in my favor. Hiring Paul was a big mistake. He has too many ongoing cases to be able to handle any of his cases properly. I felt like he was working for the other side. He filed late, helis filings were rejected for improper format, and he failed to reply to the other parties' filings. He also failed to appear at two hearings. If you're going to pay the full cost to hire an attorney, you would do better hiring somebody else.

Paul (and Karen) are the best. They are very thorough, efficient and also don't charge and arm and a leg. They give real advice, sometimes that you don't want to hear, but is in the best interest to come to a resolution, not keep litigating which saves you in the long run. I would recommend Paul Stevens to anyone looking for legal help in the family law arena.
